Mike Tyson Still Packs Celebrities In

Although Iron Mike bowed out of the fight -- and his boxing career -- Saturday night, that didn’t stop the celebrities from coming out to support and subsequently celebrate him at various parties throughout Washington, D.C. On hand at D.C.'s MCI Center to catch the fight were Steve Francis, Muhammed Ali (his daughter Laila fought in the co-main event), Dr. J, Snoop Dogg, Winky Wright, P. Diddy, Dikembe Mutombo and several others. Once the fight was finished everyone headed to various parties across town, the largest being at H20 Restaurant & Lounge, Club Dream and the City Museum.

The lovely Kelly Rowland reaffirmed her split from Roy Williams of the Dallas Cowboys, but remained mum on the reasons why.

H20 seemed to get the most attention as more than 1,000 party goers milled around outside of the club amidst flashing police lights and helicopters flying over head. Apparently the club reached mass capacity pretty early and they weren’t letting anyone else into the party. Inside the party, however, were Don “Magic” Juan, the most popular former pimp in recent years and Wizards star Gilbert Arenas. Jamie Foxx was said to be hosting the soiree.

Rumor has it that P. Diddy would be hosting a party at Club Dream but we were unable to find out if the party actually happened or if any of the stars headed out that way.

At the City Museum, the Orlando Magic’s Steve Francis was in the house along with the godfather of go-go, Chuck Brown, and golfer Corey Pavin. Anwan "Big G" Glover, who plays Slim Charles on HBO’s 'The Wire' was also at the party with welterweight champion Zab Judah.

Rowland Still no Cowgirl

Looks like Destiny’s Child's breaking up this week wasn't the only story Kelly Rowland found herself in. Rowland reaffirmed that her engagement to Dallas Cowboy Roy Williams is off, but remained mum on any new details. The two had announced their engagement in May 2004 after dating for six months, but two months before a scheduled March wedding, the couple called it quits. Rumors of Roy's infidelity swirled, but Rowland isn’t giving a definitive reason why the wedding is cancelled or what happened to the ring.

“I'm not telling. And before you ask, there's no one new," Rowland said, according to WENN. "But I never will again [talk about my boyfriends]. I get it now -- the next time I fall in love, I'm just going to shut up."

Bonds Calls Kittle an Idiot over Alleged Racist Comments

Is there really something more than music that brings Tweet and Missy Elliott together? Finally tired of refuting rumors that she and Elliott are lovers, Tweet gives the scoop on why she's able to easily ignore the trash talk these days.

As reported in last week’s column, former White Sox player-turned-author Ron Kittle accused Barry Bonds of refusing to autograph a couple of jerseys for him for a charity auction and claiming "I don’t sign for white people." Bonds fired back this week calling Kittle an idiot and questioning his time in the league.

"Who is Kittle? How long did he play? He played in our league?" Bonds told the Associated Press. “Ha! Do you guys believe that? ... Do you guys know my life history a little bit? ... One, you insult my children, who are half-white. I was married to a woman who was white, so let's get real. I don't even know the guy. Tell him he's an ... idiot. Somebody said he wanted a piece of me. Tell him I'm at 24 Willie Mays Plaza and he can come get me anytime he wants to -- with pleasure. Don't insult my family."

Kittle continues to stand by his story.

Former NBAer Hops into Boxing Ring

After a 14-year career in the NBA, Kendall Gill is setting his sights on a new career. On June 25, the former Milwaukee Buck will make his professional boxing debut at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom. Gill will fight a four-round match as a cruiserweight and said that this is something he’s been dreaming about for quite some time.

"I'm excited," Gill told the Chicago Sun-Times. "It's something I've always wanted to do. I've been a boxing fanatic forever. I have a whole library of fights. I just want a handful of fights. I'm not trying to be the heavyweight champion of the world. It's too unhealthy of a sport to stay in too long."

No word on who Gill is supposed to fight next week.

Cleveland Browns’ Braylon Edwards to Honor Father Figures

Braylon Edwards, the third overall pick of the 2005 NFL draft by the Cleveland Browns, is throwing a big thank you bash for the men that influenced his life. This weekend the rookie will be honoring his father Stanley Edwards, his stepfather Charles Plater, his youth coach from Detroit’s Police Athletic Program, Reginald "Bobo" Hinton and his wide receiver coach from the University of Michigan, Eric "Soup" Campbell.

"I am truly grateful to be where I am at today. I appreciate the wisdom; direction; coaching; and friendship each of these men has given to me,” Edwards said in a statement. “Each has had a different impact in my life -- from Coach Hinton who taught me football fundamentals when I was 12, to my step-father, Charles, who came into my life when I was a bad, precocious four-year-old boy! I would be remiss not to mention my dad, Stan Edwards, who I share a Michigan legacy with. Being able to follow in your father’s footsteps in such an illustrious career [is the] stuff dreams are made of… and I’m living it."

The reception will be a private affair in Detroit. The night before the reception, Edwards will also host a party celebrating his draft. Biz Markie will be behind the wheels of steel and Lebron James, Lisa Raye, Meghan Goode, Jermaine Dupri and Chauncey Billups will all be in the house.
