(Dec. 31) - Defying the odds for a second time, a mixed-race couple in England is once again celebrating the birth of twins who have a different skin color, reports Britain's Daily Mail.

In 2001, Dean Durrant (who is black) and Alison Spooner (who is white) had twin daughters, with one looking just like Durrant and one just like Spooner. Seven years later, Spooner gave birth to another set of twin girls, and once again, one infant has the same pigmentation as her father and the other baby takes after her mother.

"I was shocked when I first found out I was pregnant with twins again -- but I never thought for one second they would turn out the same as last time," Spooner told The Sun.

The chances of giving birth to a second set of twins with different skin colors is 1 in 500,000.
After being delivered by Cesarean section when scans revealed the babies were breach, the infants have made their way home and are doing great.
