Heat is to late summer what a sexy sundress is to summer, so as summer winds down, why not keep on beating the heat? Minimize the less-than-pleasant aromas that high temps can generate with the smell of a delectable scent. Today just about every department store or lingerie boutique carries a line of scented body products, from body washes and soaps to body scrubs and luxurious lotions. Worn alone, your favorite perfume will usually last only a few hours, but if you layer each scented product your beloved fragrance will usually last much longer. Here are a few sweet-smelling treats that every woman should become accustomed to.
• Begin by picking your desired scent. I usually like to go against the grain and choose a less popular sent, which almost guarantees everyone will be wanting to know what I am wearing. Also, remember that since we all have a different body chemistries, all scents do not smell the same on everybody. Be sure to choose a scent that works well with your personal chemistry.
• The next step is to choose the products you whish to layer including a body wash or soap, a body scrub and a lotion or body cream. Layering these products allows the scent to last longer, and contrary to what some might believe, it does not leave you wearing an overpowering smell.
• Before getting dressed in the morning start by cleansing with a body wash or soap. Use a body sponge or a bath mitt when using a body wash, which helps generate and maintain lather.
• To get skin that looks and feels healthier and smoother, use a body scrub a few times a week to exfoliate dead skin.
• Lastly, apply lotion or body cream to soften skin and to lock in moisture –- and your gorgeous fragrance.
