Just wondering how many couples, if any, do your grocery shopping together. There was a bunch of folk from India and Pakistan in the grocery store tonight..Seems like they were all couples, and some even seem to have their parents along. Just made me wonder how many of us shop that way. NONE of my friends shop with their wives (or husbands).
yes i shop with my husband..cuz sometimes he likes to pick out stuff that he can  slap together after he gets home from the bar.....hahah..thats the truth
Yes, my wife and go grocery shopping together and sometimes I do not.  She really does not like our son and I go with her especially when she is doing the big shopping because we put all kinds of snacks and things in the basket and she says when she goes by herself she is in and out......lol.  Sometimes I do not like going with her because we use a lot of coupons and we can be in the store forever sometimes.

Groceries, almost always. Electronics always. Women's apparel NEVER.

I do however bring my camera along when she goes clothes shopping and spend my time photographic the passing crowd. You know, like those photos I sent you, the ones on the CD in your briefcase that you are too busy to look at.

Sorry bud, I just had to throw that in. But honestly, I do go with her and take photos while she shops.

Good evening Alex :)smile! Yes my husband and I go grocery shopping together.  I always have a grocery list, when we go shopping.  Sometimes, my husband will add something to the cart, without me knowing, until we get to the register, and I am saying, now I know I didn't put that in the cart, and I would look at my husband, and he would start to laugh(LOL), so it's nice going to the store together.

Take care :)smile

hasn't MR. eppsifiw explained that "a list is just a recommendation?"

My ex used to drive me nuts with "is THAT on the list?"  as though I wasn't going to say "gimme a pen and it will be."

Hey Alex good evening,

When I was with my hubby we fought like cat and dog in shopping. The man wanted to tell me what the hell to buy to wear. How to food shop. Come on now that a no no. I perfer shopping by myself it's like time alone reading a book. Take my time and do it right.

Hi Alex :)smile! Now that is funny, I think my husband thinks like that, because he would say, well we are at the register now, so we can't put it back, so we would just add a few more dollars with the rest(LOL)!  It's funny, because the cashier would look at me, like I understand, my mate does the samething. Honestly, I enjoy having him there with me.  I can get him to go to the grocery store, bu when it comes to going shopping at the mall, he will go, but he won't go in the stores with me, because he saids, it's just to much drama, you have to look at this, you have to be careful what you say, every women in the store doesn't like this are that or how does this look on me. So electronics is his store, he has a time in there(LOL)

Take care Alex :)smile

Yes....my boyfriend and I go grocery shopping and we don't fight...although I'm showing him how to set a budget on groceries though...lol

take care too.

and you never wondered why at least one electronics store is in EVERY mall..?? LOL

ME AND BOYFRIEND SHOP TOGETHER .SOMETIMES HE DOES IT WITH OUT ME,AND THAT WAS NEW TO ME,BECAUSE MOST MEN THINK THAT'S THE WOMANS JOB  ,BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT'S TOGETHER.

IT'S IRONIC THAT THIS THREAD WAS CREATED, BECAUSE I RECENTLY GOT INTO A HEATED DEBATE WITH A BLACK FEMALE FRIEND OF MINE.  SHE SUGGESTED THAT BLACK MEN DON'T LIKE TO BUY GROCERIES OR HELP WITH HOUSEHOLD CHORES, BUT WHITE MEN ARE MORE PRONE TO DO THAT KIND OF THING.  I DIDN'T AGREE WITH HER TOTALLY ON THAT, BECAUSE I CAME OUT OF A HOUSEHOLD WHERE MY FATHER AND MOTHER BOTH DID THE GROCERY SHOPPING TOGETHER, BUT ALSO SEPERATELY.   I REALLY BELIEVE MY FRIEND WAS ANGRY GIVEN THE FACT THAT SHE MARRIED SOMEONE THAT DOESN'T LIKE TO SHOP, BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S THE ENTIRE BLACK MALE RACE.   I DO SEE ALLOT OF WHITE WOMEN AND MEN IN THE GROCERY STORES SHOPPING, BUT THAT'S BECAUSE I TEND TO GO A FARTHER DISTANCE TO SHOP FROM WHERE I LIVE.  LIKE THE GOURMET GROCERY STORES TEND TO DRAW MORE WHITES THAN BLACKS, BUT CLOSER TO WHERE I LIVE THERE ARE STORES, WHERE YOU SEE ALL RACES OF PEOPLE SHOPPING ABOUT.  BLACK MEN INCLUDED.

I dont think for a minute a man should or could shop with a woman. They just lack the stamina and the will to go all day long.
See not everything is a race issue as some may want you to believe. I live in area where there is not just one concetrated race. Regardless those that I work with feel the same way leave the men at home when shopping.

My hubby and I spend every other Saturday running errands and grocery shopping together. Depending on what time we leave the house, we'll either go to breakfast or lunch first. I, however, refuse to  accompany him when he goes to any sort of music shop because he can and does spend hours in them.

a budget?? just another way of saying leave the "good stuff" on the shelves. LOL

ice cream but no choclate syrup

microwave popcorn but no potato chips

steak but no Ore Idas

LOL

oh,so you think it is EASY sitting around ALL DAY thinking  about what we're gonna do tomorrow...THAT is why there is a lack of  (grocery shopping) stamina..LOL
Will you say that again?? FEED A BROTHER AND THEN TAKE HIM SHOPPING. lol...Could you PLEASE tell ALL the sisters out there how it works..thank you thank you thank you still LOL

WELL IT DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF SHOPPING YOUR TALKING ABOUT.

MY HUSBAND DOES SHOP WITH ME SOMETIME.  HE WILL GO TO THE GROCERY STORE WITH ME AND HELP WITH THE GROCERY SHOPPING.  HE WILL ALSO GO TO THE MALL OR OTHER STORES WITH ME.  HOWEVER, AT THE MALL, HE WILL LOOK IN A FEW STORES WITH ME, BUT AFTER AWHILE, I CAN TELL HE IS BORED WITH THE ENTIRE SCENE, SO HE WILL GO SIT ON A BENCH AND WAIT UNTIL I'M FINISH SHOPPING.  BUT, I TRY TO BE CONSIDERATE, BY NOT TAKING ALONG TIME TO MAKE A SELECTION, BECAUSE I KNOW HE'S WAITING FOR ME ON THAT BENCH.  HE NEVER SAYS I'VE TAKEN TO LONG, BUT SEEMS INTERESTED IN THE PURCHASES THAT I'VE MADE.  AFTER 29 YEARS OF MARRIAGE, HE KNOWS THAT I'M THE KIND OF SHOPPER WHO LOOKS FOR BARGAINS AND SALES AND IF I GO TO THE STORE TO BUY A PAIR OF SHOES, I COULD END UP IN THE CURTAIN DEPARTMENT. (LOL)

patience really is a virtue  when it comes to shop with women ,

i find it dificult to compare shoes  2 hours and move from shop to shop  ,but i ma trying my best to make compromises so i keep quiet to avoid a confrontation of any kind  cos it appear to me that shopping  is extremly important to women .
