LOL. Brood of vipers... (CNN) — The Rev. Jesse Jackson issued an apology to Barack Obama Wednesday for criticizing the Illinois senator's recent comments directed toward some members of the black community. According to Jackson, a Fox News microphone picked up comments he meant to deliver privately that seemed to disparage the presumptive Democratic nominee for appearing to lecture the black community on morality. Jackson didn't elaborate on the context of his remarks, except to say he was trying to explain that Obama was hurting his relationship with black voters by recently conducting "moral" lectures at African-American churches. "For any harm or hurt that this hot mic private conversation may have caused, I apologize," Jackson said in a statement issued to CNN. "My support for Senator Obama’s campaign is wide, deep and unequivocal. I cherish this redemptive and historical moment." |

Where did he dissed Obama? There were a disagreement, and where was the dissing? I wonder would you make an issue over white candidates like this? I can only yawn about this. So what if Jesse doesn't like what Obama said. After all, Jesse Jackson does have a child out of wedlock. He stated that he thought this would alienate black voters.

I think Jesse said Senator Obama is missing, shall we say, "testicular fortitude" LOL. Obama better borrow some of Hillary's. This whole affair is hilarious to me. All JJ is saying is what lots of black folks believe: Senator Obama blames African Americans for all of our problems when the system is at least PARTIALLY to blame. JJ's son JJ, Jr. has publically denounced his Dad. Boy, with kids like these, who needs enemies?? ( JJ, Sr has always supported Obama. Remember JJ turned on his ole buddies Bill and Hill to support the Anointed One?) No one is above criticism. Does Obama think everyone will be quiet until after Nov? SOme of his most ardent supporters are starting to turn on him (Moveon.org). Hold on. It is going to be a bumpy ride. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Obama say not to long ago he was from Chi town, Chicago, and he was tuff? I suspect he has heard a lot worse coming from the kneecapping capital of the word politically! Jesse Jackson has done this a lot in his days. It did not surprise me one bit when I read your post. I doubt seriously if Jesse Jackson Sr. even like Obama. They don't have much in common beside residing in the same local. He will not buck Obama in any public way though. He knows what he can and can not get away with if he wants to stay in good grace in the political arena.

You are wrong. You don't know the whole story. A good number of black folks are more advanced and astuted than you think they are. Trust me, Barack Obama got the right stuff, and Juice in the right places in Black America. There is more going on than you know. If Jesse Sr. wants to act typical on his own behalf, then he will be Checked and Sat Down like the rest of the hasbeen detractors. You better get used to the fact that there is a New Day coming in America, and this include Black America even more so. Ready or not, change is coming. And it will not take any screwed up prisoners including so-called prominent black ones.

THE PROBLEM HERE WITH JESSE & OBAMA IS THAT JESSE COULD HAVE MADE THE SPEECH ABOUT BLACK FATHERS WITHOUT BEING SO ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES. NOT CAUSING ANY ANGER TO MOST BLACKS. BUT TAKE IN MIND THAT JACKSON HAS MADE AN ABUNDANCE OF THESE TYPE MESSAGES TO AFRICAN AMERICAN BLACKS OVER THE MANY MANY YEARS. OBAMA NEEDS TO WORK ON HIS WORDING OF HIS TOPIC'S THAT HE ADDRESSES. PEOPLE ARE JUST WAITING FOR THE SLIP OF THE LIP. JACKSON AND AL SHARPTON ARE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT, HOW, AND WHEN TO LET WORDS COME FROM THEIR LIPS. THAT IS CALLED EXPERIENCE. IT DOES HELP IN MOST CASES.

JESSE WITH ALL OF HIS PAST FAULTS OR WHATEVER, STILL CARRIES A LOT OF CLOUT. ACTUALLY HE IS KNOW BETTER TO MANY, THAN OBAMA IS. HE'S BEEN THERE LONGER. OBAMA IS CONSIDERED A NEW COMER TO CHICAGO. the more I see what JJ said, the more I wonder if it was deliberate. JJ wanted to make the point that Senator Obama should stop dissin' black fathers and hold the government accountable. The talking heads are talking about how wrong JJ is and how the AA "unanimously" support Senator Obama. Guess that don't read BV. LOL. At least JJ has genuine feelings for the AA community. BO appears cold, and hypercritical toward AAs. BTW, JJ should check his son. He totally disrespected his father.

OH! OF COURSE THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. BUT MANY BLACKS CANNOT MAKE THE CONNECTIONS. AND ALL THAT HAVE HAD AN HAND IN THIS INITIALLY FROM SLAVERY ON UP TO THIS VERY DATE.
