Remember the good old freaky-dekey days of making love (not war)? Well, the days when a trip to the clinic could take care of most everything are over.

Some people say that AIDS has made sex scary and clinical, while others find a way to keep getting it on, even if it is with the help of a few toys. What about you -- has HIV/AIDS changed your sex life?

--the AOL BlackVoices Staff
HIV/AIDS has absolutely had an impact in my sex life. I’m into more of self-ratification. I’m still searching for that one LATEX condom that does not irate me. I enjoy lambskin, but they are not recommended for protection against either of the aforementioned. So with my reaction to latex that has really put a damper on things. But coupled with these diseases are DL and Metro Sexual men. Both look the same, so how the hell I’m I suppose to differentiate? I find myself looking more closely at a man’s lips. Or maybe the way he gestures his hands and/sits. Then the fashion with men wearing PINK, a little is ok but………….

What you permit, you promote!

Most of my true sexual craziness took place in the early 80's, when we figured only gay folks and drug users had AIDS. I calmed down by 1989. But I still didn't ask deep questions - we just wrapped the Whopper and kept going.

Since I'm still allowed to give blood, I guess either I did the right things... or I got lucky...

That entire men in pink thing drives me crazzzzzzzyyyyyyyy.......  The girls I work with keep calling me old fashion but I'm sorry a man dressed in pink from head to toe is a bit much.  I almost cringe anytime I see men dressed in Pink, lavendar, and certain greens....lol.

Oh I guess I better respond to the thread as well......lol.  I'm pretty much sex free these days.....:-( but to avoid all confusion let me see the test results before we even discuss having sex  Let's hit the bottom line from jump...lol

A little pink is cool, a shirt a tie.

It's been an epidemic since I started having sex, I'm 24.  So yes, I have always been very cautious.  I hear my parents talk about it sometimes, and they just feel bad and fearful of this disease.  Both my parents have been married for 20 years and they have remained faithful to one another, so they just worry for their children's safety from this disease.

And no I didn't say it either : )

I left a career field that I worked my ASS off to get into, and that I was GOOD at, bc of AIDS.....I was terrified of it when I was a lab tech, and it first was making news. They weren't sure about much about it, except that if you got it you died. I was in the military at the time, and I volunteered to be transferred to the new computer room they were putting up. I was a young mother and didn't want to take the least chance that I wouldn't be around to raise my baby.

So, here I am over 40, and divorced, back in the dating pool for the first in TWO DECADES....and to say it's scary is not even an understatement. Though I've been asked out a few times, it seems that all I attract are the babies.....sexy hot, but all under 30.....the last two were only a few years older than my SON! I just can't go there!

And all the men MY age are looking for women my son's age--so what's a girl to do?

LOL, my son had me almost on my KNEES in the mall, talking about that subject. He worked in Starbucks bf we moved to FL, and he was telling me about "thug" wanna bes coming into where he worked in pink (evidently they now have shirts that go all the way down to their knees?), trying to be all tough asking for a caramel macchiatto....

He said "and then ma, they're outside trying to hit on girls, with their girly drinks, and their girly colors, and they wanna catch an attitude when the girls won't talk to them"

lol@  they're outside trying to hit on girls, with their girly drinks, and their girly colors,

And don't knock it 'til ya try it ...

LOL, it's hard.....cause as I told the young one this past weekend, if I'd decided to get pregnant the year I got married, I would have a son HIS age (25)....cute as they are, I just can't go there. Now a 30 yr old.....lol
LOL, girl, I ain't knocking it....just can't do it....cause I know all KINDS of stuff would hit the fan if MY 21 yr old baby came home with a woman MY age, talking 'bout "I'm in love" lol

ftfo...

21 isn't neccessary .. try 29

I'm looking, believe me.
