I only have one daughter. I try not to use a hot comb to often in her head. Braids were making her side come out, and a perm is definitely out of the questions. Her sides look like they've taken on a life of their own. They're the first thing to mess up in her hairstyles, they seperate from the rest of her hair like they're on their way out or town or something.

Have you tried Sulphur 8 Products and giving her a chewable vitamin everyday. If her hair is thin I wouldn't put it in braids they will only cause more damage. Also Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize. Morning and night. Organic root Stimulator makes an Olive Oil Lotion that is GREAT. MY extremely dry hair stays moisturize for 2-3 days. I saturate my hair with it after I wash it, twist and let it air dry. Great stuff
Perhaps you could try a 2 strand twist with colorful headbands. I would try to keep her as natural as possible. Definetly no perm and very little pressing if any. Try the 2 strand twist, put in rollers, and a headband. The headband will not only add beauty but help to protect and control the edges. And after a couple of days you can untwist her hair for a curly little fro.
If the picture posted is your daughter, she's gorgeous and I can see her with a thick full head of natural hair. God bless You can check out how I do it at the site listed below |

I would like to thank you for taking the time to respond to my post. I took the time to read your healthy hair care regimen. I must say you are good, you went into depth and explained everything you do to your hair as if you were a professional. To be honest you gave a better explanation than my hair stylist. Is everything that you suggested for young girls also.Right now I just wash the both of our heads and use a deep conditioner, use vItamin E oil or olive oil and wrap it up with a satin scarf. For me the first day after washing my hair I use the flat irons to straighten my hair by going inch by inch and after that I don't use them again until maybe three or four days later. I don't use heat that much anymore and I haven't had a perm since the second week of October. The deep conditioner seems to working good on my hair, I only have to press it once every two week. The only time I have to press more is if I do some heavy sweating. If you happen to come across some good techniques that I can use for my daughter please email me at Ldyglv@aol.com.
