This is the question of the day on one of the talk radio stations in DC and I thought I would pose the question here….

Do you think that Obama’s media appearances in the next 24-48 hours runs the risk of oversaturation? Or is it just what the doctor ordered to close the deal?

Without saying too much (so as not to give away anything)  Tonights event is going to be so fückin awesome...the surprise at the end (barring any problems with that switch to live feed) will have folks on their feet in their living rooms....

Most of the people calling in are from VA and they are not too happy, LOL. I can only imagine how bad they are getting hit right now. Yesterday during one primetime commercial break there were two McCain commercials followed by two Obama commercials back to back. I had to do a double take because I thought I was losing it.

I think it’s a great idea and I hope that is goes off without a hitch. Now I am even more excited to see what they have in store.

I think it might be harmful personally. I think it may turn off some of the undecidedes - we OIbama supporters are gonna love it but cutting into Prime Time tv to make a state of the Union address when you aren't the pres yet, during the world series?? Not gong to go over well with all imho. McCain camp is already spinning it as "who in da hell does he think he is"

Believe me when I tell you, it's not a speech...As far as the World Series is concerned...FOX is not preempting the game (provided the game isn't rained out again)  They are only preempting the pregame show, which they said gets low ratings anyway.  Obama did not ask them to do that, they could have declined to run it like ABC and CNN did...

Well I for one will not pre-judge or speculate.  I'd rather wait & see.  If after about 30-45 min's or so, if I am interested I'll continue to watch; if not, I'll look at something else.  I'm firm on my voting for Obama.  So that's that from my view.  Blessings.

It's Obama with No Drama from me!

I think most people are not happy because they have no clue whats going to happen.  Most people are under the impression that he is going to get on TV and make another speech...but he isn't... The title of this special is 'Barack Obama:  American Stories'
ok - I look forward to seeing it, but I'm still worried of the adverse affects it may have to ppl who are not yet Obama supporters, on the fence or may be turned off by it.. I just hope it doesn't have a negative impact. We're Obama supporters, its not us I'm worried about

I am not so sure how other people will take it either. It really seems to be unclear if people are more indifferent with Obama’s media attention or the media’s political coverage in general. It has been a long election cycle and I am sure some people need the break with their regularly scheduled programs.

Same here. I want to see what he has up his sleeve and Nick has me even more hyped with this so-called surprise. Not to mention, I agree if you don't like it then change the channel.

Hey folks...what's going on?  Obama is on tv tonight?  What channel and what time?

Its gonna be a blockbuster.  I think his Grandmother and people he grew up with gonna talk about him.  Its gonna be something.  I dont think it will be over saturation.  did you see his new ad. Now thats a masterpeice.

The program is to be shown on NBC, CBS, Fox, Univision, MSNBC and two cable networks that cater to African-Americans, BET and TV One.

I bet BET will find a way to eff it up, their tape will probably break or something, I won't be watching it there
