An open opology to OBama.....(118)

Mr. President.....
I have to admit, long before I'd even known your name and all I saw was the black skin, I figured you just another negro taking up space on that podium in the first democratic debates, Biden was my man. When you won Iowa, I still never gave you a chance, I figured Hillary was gonna take all of this....after all to me, to us, you were still unknown. As I listened to your eloquence, as I watched you face adversity, as I saw you brave storm after storm after storm and always remained cool, calm and collective....I became a believer. But you made me soooo mad at times, Mr. President, you never hit back as hard as you should have, you studdered uncontrolable at times when trying to answer questions but, you never lost your cool, when all so many of us wanted to do, was to punch Hillary, you remained a gentle-man. Sir, I'm sorry for having doubt, I'm sorry for not believing in your message and Mr. President I'm sorry for thinking that all black bring nothing to our tables but empty plates....you sir have my utmost respect, admiration and love..... Thank you Mr. President, because I have been waiting on you all our lives.....you sir, ba-rock!!! |

Wow bettyjoan, you get my respect for this post....it takes a big person to admit when they have misjudged. You took at beating on BV for your opinions, but I'm glad to see that you are one of those truly seeking information about the candidate and not on a personal agenda. I'm hoping for your outcome for a whole lot of the undecided vote. |

Beautifully written and very commendable. I had a conversation earlier today about the very thing you wrote...how so many blacks doubted, scrutinized, analyzed, questioned, side looked him...he was not black enough, an unknown.... The man went through the wringer with both sides... Yet he remained tall and strong...unwavering, so much so that they were saying take the gloves off, go at him hard...when in fact they threw everything at him including the kitchen sink with the garbage disposal... Senator Barak Obama has made us all proud... Now, wth is going on here in VA? I am so surprised that the numbers are so dang close...something just maybe up... Oh, I just heard they are now counting the absentee ballots from Loudoun County (mine area) which will go well beyond 12 midnight... |

The correct response to a letter like that is: "Fvck you you hillbilly bastard," but that would be impolitic.
"There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning." --Warren Buffet, June 2008 "A conservative in 1968 was far more liberal than a liberal is in 2008," -Boston University historian Bruce Schulman |

REAL community organizing isn't a bad place to stay either. The Presidency is another story. This is America so watch your back.
