She is refering to Prince as the devil. She was caught up with him. She wanted more, and he was ignoring her; she was yelling for attention. When she writes "scraping of away at my own flesh" , the wording makes me think she was cutting herself, depression? Still, Prince ignored her wanting something more, she was suicidal. I believe this evident in  this sentence "He waited patiently for the reading of my obituary."  Prince probably said peace. Vanity didn't kill herself; although, she was caught in infatuation,stuck around  "I was unrelenting, unreasonably lost, suffocating in dumbfoundedness, further seeking pleasure in a round glass bottle full of vitriolic venom, which slid me into depression beyond blockades."  She could no longer her hide depression from everyone, it had begun to take over by this time. She felt she entitled to more than what was given. Prince was her  "ocean of careful wondrous dreams" . She believes, she should have had Prince to herself,  also more success "the whole Kingdom beset before me" , Vanity was looking for a fairy tale ending with Prince, really her Prince and her the superstar pop princess.

This whole last part is a big ass typo. Anyway, her fairytale she so badly wanted slid through her hands. She got caught up in a storm of infatuation with Prince. She let herself get played by Prince. She let herself be disrespected by Prince, because she knew he was going to stop bullshitting, one day. She lost some of her self worth because it played out so publicy. Though, I do not get sucking up the vomit completely. That could have been better said by writing I am down, out and until this very day I this won't pass the stomach and out the bowel because of what i've gone through is known to most of the world. I try to become a evangelist, people still bring this up as I get to digesting and almost, almost put behind me. I have to look back at it again. This time i'll purge myself, on my terms and I kinda need the money too. 

SO FUKKING OVERWRITTEN ITS KILLING ME, she needs to write it over, nobody but me is going to take the time to understand this lol. Her story is not worth $45 dollars and this happend time and time again. Sounds like Effie White lol.

Vanity, Prince and Sheila E. have all found the Lord.  Who's next, Morris Day? lol

All jokes aside, I think it's great they are all born again considering the scandalous lives they've all lived.  Their testimonies are all inspirations to many.

Ctfu !!!! Why doesnt she state that  Prince dumped her due to her drug habit and Sheila E ?    

 

I understand what she might be trying to say, but when writing a book you want to consider your readers.  Which I don't think she did.  This hopefully is just an excerpt at the beginning.  Very colorful words, but may lose many (readers) because of the overkill of symbolism.
