Best ALBUMS of all time?(303)
|
"Purpose By Design" - Fred Hammond & RFC I picked it up by chance (but y'all know it wasnt coincidence), and wound up buying it 2 more times. This CD spoke to my heart. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this CD. It is my number one of favorite gospel albums. "Thank You Lord, For Being There For Me" ...."You Are The Living Word" "When You Praise" "Give Me A Clean Heart" ...the whole CD. God put an anointing on that brotha, for real. Anyone who does not have this cd- GET IT. |

I agree with each one of your selections! Groove Theory needs to re-release that album; some of those tracks are just ridiculous, they are so good, like "Boy in the Window" and "Didnja Know." Also a superb take on Ron Isley's "Hello It's Me." That CD stays in rotation, all these years later.
My list: Sade's "Stronger Than Pride" or at this point, any of their albums Waiting to Exhale and Love Jones' soundtracks |

Same here....the cd stays in the player! Even though I love the entire cd, "Boy in the Window" and "Ride" are my favorites. I also should have included My list: Sade's "Stronger Than Pride" or at this point, any of their albums Waiting to Exhale and Love Jones' soundtracks Yup....ANY Sade cd will work. I just wish the woman wouldn't take decades off, in between albums...LOL |

Okay! They say she's a complete perfectionist, and has felt insecure about every album they've put out, but DAMN, why do we have to wait ten damn years for a Sade album? But let me cut them some slack. They are one of the few successful groups which contain most of the original members and don't publicly beef with each other constantly. But come on, give us an album every other year or something! |

1. Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland (An all time classic by one of the greatest musicians ever to walk the face of the earth. He is still very underappreciated in the black community). 2. Prince - Sign Of The Times (A masterpiece by the master himself). 3.Living Colour - Vivid (Another classic that is still very underappreciated in the black community). 4.Lenny Kravitz - Greatest Hits (His greatest hits is very great indeed. Underappreciated also). 5. Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti (Too many rappers have sampled their legendary riffs). 6. Van Halen - Van Halen (Great group who dominated the 1980's. Eddie's solo on "Beat It" is pretty good too). 7. Marvin Gaye - What's Going On (Still relevent today. TIMELESS!!!). 8. Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life (TIMELESS). 9. Bob Marley - Exodus (Ordained Rastafari). 10. The Beatles - Abbey Road (Not liking the Beatles is synonomous to not liking the sun. Legendary indeed.)

Yeah what's up? I'll be 39 years old next week and I love all types of music rock, soul, country, classical, jazz, blues, rap, reggae, etc. As Jimi Hendrix once said there are only two types of music good and bad. I find it amazing how so many people limit themselves as far as musical genres are concerned. Rock and roll is black music and Chuck Berry is the true king of rock and roll not Elvis. As P-Funk once said free your mind and your as* will follow. Music is great and it should be appreciated by all not segregated. Rock on. |
