Whether gay sex/ culture is deviant or not is not my issue with you post. My issue is that you compared gay culture to pedophilia which is non-consensual and beastiality which also is not consensual.

The issue that I have with "Brokeback Mountain" is that, when two white men are in this situation, it's seen as dignified and even romantic.  When two brothas are in this situation, it's described as them being on the "dl" as if they're somehow the most evil, sexualized, conniving, and wicked creatures on the earth.

At no point has the media described the characters are being on the down low....just "two cowboys in a tragic and conflicted low affair".  

I wonder if, had both of the characters this film been Black, would the film had even made the big screen?  Or...would it simply be another portrayal of gay Black men as ultra femme, female hating, flaming, and confused excuses for masculinity.

You know, there was a time when people use to compare a white person having sex with a black person to someone who engages in beastiality. If you disagree with someone's lifestyle, you are perfectly within your right to not live that way, but to say that it's wrong and comparing homosexuality to the devient acts of a child molester is idiotic and stupid.

No one is PUSHING Homosexuality onto anyone. Hollywood has had films on gay characters for years. It's not a subject in EVERY film, nor is it the subject of every television show. No one is forcing these films down your throat. There are clearly just as many none threatening, non-homosexual films out there for your to see. The simple solution is to not go see any film that bothers you. Done. Period. End of story.

Oh, and lets call a spade a spade here. The downfall of our society in general; our communities in particular is hardly the fault of homosexuality. We deal every day with a high number of single parent families (straight men leaving their families), high crime, drugs and poverty. How is homosexuality the cause of these problems?

Films like Brokeback Mountain and Capote are nothing but entertainment for the masses; they're not the cause of the breakdown of society.
