Anybody gonna check it out?

Just saw a commercial for it - and I think I just may have to go see that at a real theatre...(haven't been to the movies in damn near two years...I pay too damn much for cable...LOL!)

I think I'm going to wait for the DVD. I saw the reviews and didn't excite me too much.

I will check out Tyler Perry's next one, Family Reunion out on Feb. 24th, I saw the trailer and it looks really GOOD> Maya Angelou, Cicely Tyson, Blair Underwood, just to name a few. Link to the trailer:

Actually, I haven't even seen "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" yet...I'm gonna check & see if it's on OnDemand...

But if Maya's in a movie reading the PHONE BOOK I'd go see it...LOL!

(And Blair Underwear is just an added attraction...)

I got a feeling it's gonna be corny. Maybe cos Tyler Perry made Madea's character so vivid, hilarious and so much better. Sorry to compare considering Big Mammas house came out first.

But Holiday with QL and LL will be hot!

I saw it this weekend and my advice is to wait for it to hit Blockbuster...lol......it was #1 this weekend so I guess a lot of folks went out to see it.....don't get me wrong, I got a few laughs and it was good to see Martin back and looking healthy but overall the movie was just OK imo......

Big Momma's House part 2 was a horrible movie, I was so mad I sat thru 2 hours of that garbage. The plot was stupid, Nia Long's pregnant belly was so unrealistic looking, ughhh I can go on, and on. I was bored to tears, I could not wait until the movie was OVA!!!

Nia Long's pregnant belly was so unrealistic looking,>>>>girl....now they know they could've done better than that.....and how 'bout the Big Momma on the beach visual?? - just horrible.....and what about Martin cleaning the house w/out his Big Momma suit on....wth???.....I definitely could've waited on that but nevertheless I did get a few chuckles so it's all good......plus I supported a brotha that we ain't seen in a minute....

Your right the movie was just okay. We had been seeing the clips from the film for weeks and couldn't wait to see it. However, I was so bored that I left the movie 3 times. I'm not sure if I would waist a good movie night with this movie. If your already paying for cable that wait for it to air.

I started a thread yesterday and it SUNK like a lead weight. LOL

Anyway, the movie was funny bad. It was funny because it was soooooo bad.

Nia long was pregnant in her throat. LOL They know they could have had a more realistic looking belly. The plot was weak and implausible. There were a few funny moments: Big Momma as Bo Derek. LOL

Overall: C-

Please wait to rent, if you absolutely have to rent it; the movie had it's funny parts, but you've seen them all in the commercial/promo's. The story line was pretty weak, too!

MArtin might need to do stand up on the small circuit again. I really think that SNL issued messed up his TV and movie careers.
