What If Hollywood Cast Election 2008?

Posted Oct 24th 2008 2:00PM by Karu F. Daniels
Filed under: Entertainment Newswire, Entertainment

In a daring and courageous (and very tongue-in-cheek) move, BlackVoices.com brainstormed the idea of casting a movie based on the historical presidential election of 2008. FYI, we disqualified any SNL actor and those who've already portrayed the Election 08 crew (sorry Tina).

In doing so, we made some casting choices, posing the question: who should portray whom?

We made our choices. But of course, our loyal readers may think otherwise.

So after you peruse the gallery below, please tell us who would be your top picks. And don't forget to check out Moviefone's Best Movie Presidents Poll.

1. Tina Fey is a liberal piece of crap as most of Hollywood/New York actors, there are few and far between actors that really know what is up in politics...

freedom4wolves@yahoo.com at 2:03PM on Oct 24th 2008

2. Good choice.

Kathleen M. Elliott at 2:07PM on Oct 24th 2008

3. wooooooow those are all pretty bad, what are you doing like do better or something, fire and be realistic. F-

Mr.McMr at 2:07PM on Oct 24th 2008

4. None of these people look ANYTHING like their supposed "look-alikes."

Mike at 2:09PM on Oct 24th 2008

5. Jessica Alba as Nancy Pelosi? I don't think so!! However , the rest of the list was pretty good.

Melissa at 2:12PM on Oct 24th 2008

6. Your casting is perfect, save on role/actor. Tom Cruise. What a waste of talent. I don't think Cruise would do it anyway; for two reasons: #1, it's not all about him. #2, it's not all about him. He's a hack. Try John Travolta, James Brolin; hell, Porky Pig would do a better job and be much easier to work with over Tom "Snooze."
All the other picks were right on the money. Perfect.

Keith at 2:13PM on Oct 24th 2008

7. Uh, hello? Denzel Washington is the obvious choice for Barack Obama. And Bill O-Reilly? Are you serious AOL? Kevin Spacey should play Huckabee.

Johnny D at 2:14PM on Oct 24th 2008

8. I've said for the longest that Mariska Hargitay looks like Sarah Palin. I'm glad someone else sees the resemblance!

Lauren at 2:18PM on Oct 24th 2008

9. you've got to be kidding. out of a possible 15+ people, you got maybe 5 right. Not so good.

Laura at 2:19PM on Oct 24th 2008

10. picture 35...that is an insult jessica alba playing natzi pelosy yea right

adrianusarmy at 2:20PM on Oct 24th 2008

11. Bravo well done. Jessica Alba is a little young to be speaker and Daniel Craig as Dubya! That's just not right. But the rest were hilarious.

Maria at 2:20PM on Oct 24th 2008

12. Ned Beatty looks like Bush.

Sigrid at 2:20PM on Oct 24th 2008

13. No one could look as stupid as Sarah Palin!

Chad at 2:21PM on Oct 24th 2008

14. its bad enough to be living in this nightmare. I would not want to see a movie about the whole mess. Unless it actually was an honest depition of the dishonesty and manipulation of the past 8 years

lili at 2:22PM on Oct 24th 2008

15. Tina Fey, MANWOMAN of the year!
