Halle Berry: Named Sexiest Woman Alive

Halle Berry has reached another achievement.

The Academy Award winning beauty has been named the "Sexiest Woman Alive" by legendary men's magazine, Esquire.

"Well, I don't know exactly what it means but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I'll take it," Berry, who just gave birth to her first child earlier this year, wrote in an article on the magazine's website.

For her cover spread, the 'Monster's Ball' actress poses in a parody of a 2000 cover photograph of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, which the magazine said was recreated in honor of its 75th anniversary celebration.

"Sexy is not about wearing sexy clothes or shaking your booty until you damn near get hip dysplasia; it's about knowing that sexiness is a state of mind -- a comfortable state of being," Berry said.

Speaking of sex, the Cleveland, Ohio native, who dated actor Wesley Snipes, R&B crooner Christopher Williams and was married to baseball player David Justice and neo-soul singer Eric Benet, spoke candidly about orgasms and her lovers. "There have been some men in my life who have been wickedly sexy and have taught me much about sexual pleasure. There are a few men I should thank, and others I need to forget. But I don't regret. To hell with regret. I like what I am now. I like being a mother. I like my body better since I became a mother. I feel sexier as a result of becoming a mother."

Berry, who shares her newborn baby with model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, says she can't keep the honor all to herself: "I share this title with every woman, because every woman is a nominee for it at any moment."

Other Hollywood beauties such as Academy Award winners Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and voluptuous actress Scarlett Johansson have all held the distinction of "Sexiest Woman Alive" in the past few years.

2. Sexiest woman alive? I don't know about that. Why don't they just say sexiest woman in Hollywood, because that's who she's actually being judged against. She's certainly not being judged against every day women, who perhaps could be sexier than she is. Don't get me wrong, I think she's beautiful and sexy, but did the magazine even attempt to look in average neighborhoods for mothers, wives and just women in general? I'm just sayin..........

5. While I beleieve she is a phenominal beauty, why would someone suggest that she is the sexiest? Doesn't that suggest that I find her sexually attractive? I'll be labeled a racist for this but I don't find black women sexually attractive. Nor would I like to have sex with an Asian woman or a woman with one leg, one eye, a speach impediment, a male, a transvestite, a sheep, etc. Ive seen and met some beauties but please don't tell me who I'd like to have sex with

Yes, she is a very pretty woman, & looks great for her age, even though 42 is'nt OLD !!,but I have yo agree with LIA & Linda, I think it's a bit over the top to call ANY woman the sexiest woman alive,especially in Hollywood, because that's not being realistic, there are MANY of us sexy & beautiful, average lived, everyday moms & women in general who are VERY sexy. That's the problem with this society, we measure everyone's looks & worthiness to even look at, according to Hollywood's standards, & it's not REALISTIC !!! of they were that PERFECT, none of them would wear make - up or get their pics airbrushed.

10. I believe that Halle is, indeed, a pretty, decent woman; however, I believe that there are other women for candidates, like the article says she said. If anything, I'd love to see other noiminees for sexiest woman, than Halle, Angelina, or other token stars. :D

The point of this article was to debate on your thoughts about this woman. All I'm seeing in certain posts (not saying any names) is a bunch of ignorance. I figured something about race, ethnicity, background, or simply color of the skin, would definitely be brought up. I'm not saying you're wrong, because I do respect each and everyone's opinions; however, if you can't argue effectively about them, what's the point of you even opening your mouth? To the gentleman that says he will be labled racist for not thinking black women are sexually attractive, you're not. You just have a specific type of woman that you'd prefer. Albeit, a charasmatic one, but worry not about humanity belittling you for not wanting to have sex with one. I'm a black male, and I find certain types of women attractve, but I'm willing to expand my diversity in that category.

Other than that, I think she's a sexy woman, but every woman is a sexy individual. If I may add, that is MY opinion.
