Judge Karen Feels The 'Flavor'

Watch out Judge Judy...there's a new judge in town.

'Judge Karen,' a new syndicated court television show that debuted last month, is hoping to boost ratings by throwing in a former reality show contestant.

On October 10, former 'Flavor of Love 3' contestant Angela 'Myammee' Pitts will appear before the Judge in an effort to get money she alleges she is owed from a celebrity party appearance.

The episode will air on BET.

The Miami beauty claims that an Atlanta party promoter stiffed her from getting paid for a club appearance.

The club promoter argues she won't get any cash because she showed up late and did not host the party as agreed. But neither party had a signed agreement so Judge Karen is left to make sense of what a former reality contestant should get paid for a hosting gig and what the top-rated VH1 series 'Flavor of Love' is all about.

The bodacious beauty, who Flavor Flav booted after an ex called the house looking for money she owed him, appeared in 'King' Magazine earlier this year. In that article, she boasted, '...a thousand dollars is nothing. I make that in two days working at Hooters.'

Although she says that she is in debt from a student loan, Myammee told Judge Karen that she can earn upwards of five thousand dollars for a 30-minute to one hour appearance at nightclubs around the country.

Judge Karen Mills-Francis,a former public defender, hails from Miami, Florida, where she stepped down from being a judge in the Orange State to host her own TV show. To distinguish itself from other shows in the crowded field, 'Judge Karen' permits litigants to cross-examine witnesses, and there is a segment at the end in which she answers videotaped questions from viewers.

"I'm like the mother everyone should have had," she said. "My show is representative of a real courtroom, and the people who come before me are held responsible for their actions."

You can check out a clip of the episode here, but if you want to have your case considered before Judge Karen visit www.judgekarentv.com.

1. Really did not pay attention to this as much except to wonder why they keep airing it on weekends? Why we gotta have court on weekends and even Sundays?

4. Judge Karen, please have better topics, you can learn a lot from Judge Judy, Shaking your butt at a club is not a good topic. (Myammee) not even spelled right, can she contribute to society other than shaking her ass, she reminds me of Kimberly Jones.

Mac at 11:49PM on Oct 7th 2008

5. Why does BET plays into the black sterotype so often. Why do we always to have a sassy/mama character......why why why? And why in the hell does Bet even have court show on? Jeez get you s*#t together Bet!!!! For all of us.

6. New York is a true embarrassment as a young black women who makes a total fool out of herself for men who just want to use her sexually and for personal gain! If any woman has to have a man to validate who she is, she is in TERRIBLE SHAPE AS A PERSON!!! NO WOMAN SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR LOVE IF THEY CAN NOT, FIRST, LOVE THEMSELVES FOR WHO THEY REALLY ARE, INSIDE!! MANY WOMEN FALL FOR THE WRONG MAN BECAUSE THEY HAVE A LOW SELF-WORTH AND A VERY LOW SELF-ESTEEM! THEY GIVE OF THEIR ENTIRE SELVES TO MEN, WHO WILL EVENTUALLY WILL USE THEM FOR THEIR OWN PERSONAL GAIN!! MANY OF THESE TYPE OF WOMEN GET SO WOUNDED AND HURT BY BEING MISTREATED, TAKEN FOR GRANTED, AND THEIR HEARTS ARE CRUSHED FOR LOVING THE WRONG MAN!!! WHAT "NEW-YORK" NEEDS TO DO IS TO GET HERSELF TOGETHER WITHIN HER SELF; STOP CURSING AND USING PROFANE LANGUAGE; LEARN TO CARRY HERSELF AS A DIGNIFIED LADY; AND STOP LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE HER HAPPY, WHICH SHE HAS TO DEPEND ON HERSELF FOR!!!

7. this is the first time i have ever posted comments on a tv show, but after the show i just witnessed, i am so mad I could spit on this Judge. It was the most racially motivated decision i have ever seen by a black tv judge. she disgusts me, i think she stupid, and could care less about the law, she rules on things simply by how she feels at the moment. a white woman (very clearly struggling single mom)takes a lowlife scrub black man to court for draining her account of 4 grand in a matter of a month. the judge was amazed that it took her a month to figure it out. A MONTH!!!! that is a long time for someone who knows what they are spending and has no need to call her bank to ask for activity or balances? she obviously cant afford a computer. how did ppl know their activity in the old days, YOU WOULD WAIT FOR A STATEMENT which takes 30DAYS!!! the whole trial he admits she did not give him permission, that it WAS him that took the money and that she did not give him the pin. And her ruling was that she didnt have proof. WHAT KIND OF PROOF OTHER THAN AN ADMISSION DO YOU NEED. I hope this lady rots in hell for making this poor womans life a harder one than it already is. and for letting an admitted thief get away with it after to admitting to a court of law that he took four THOUSAND dollars from a single mom without permission. The only thing this woman did was trust this nasty, ugly, underhanded man. oh, and all it took was for this woman to mention that she was making a purchase at a liquor store for the judge to rip on her for being an alcoholic. She is unprofessional and a TERRIBLE JUDGE. WHERE WAS THIS WOMAN EDUCATED, AND WHERE ARE HER ETHICS??? AND WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND GAVE HER A SHOW. SHE HAS TERRIBLE HAIR, A TERRIBLE PERSONALITY, AND SHE IS UGLY AS SIN. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE DAY SHE IS TAKEN OFF THE AIR, OR GETS SUED HERSELF. ILL ACTUALLY BE PRAYING FOR BOTH

8. Dear Judge Karen, You are my favorite judge. My wife watches you all the time,(I listen.) You are the Only judge who mentions God repeatedly. While not The Lord or Lord Jesus by name, God is still pretty good for me. Love Daniel born again Baptist

9. Hey Karen just let this little girl swindle a man trying to make money on the side for 2300! Karen stop being so naive. That girl was given 4-5 cars and she said she also gave another 1,000; so shame on her she knew the type of vehicle the man was selling and They all passed inspection except to my knowledge; as a buyer you need to inspect or check out the car on your own time before purchasing the car so you don't get a lemon. So the fact she kept on demanding a replacement vehicle is a joke Karen and the fact you just slapped her on the wrist about taping him, show's that she was trying to gain a free ride(s) from the defendant who obviously was selling car's that were fixer uppers and she knew that after the second loner; which i believe is when she taped him in a conversation rather than getting a legal notarized document Karen she only deserves what she got for lying and trying to influence the judge is helping the naive little girl oh yea you get behind and you push the damn car "I don't know how to push a car" yea you do what you say you dirtbag learn the rules and Karen yopu should stop being weak and get a backbone he only owes her a car which she bought since she didn't have money at the time to purchase what she wanted so take what you paid for there was no arrangement for any private seller to explain everything about the car; its your job as the consumer to know what your getting into. And depending exactly how many he sold that year does not make him a dealer and the sale was under the assumption on both parties that it was a private sale so to loan her cars while whatever was going on if the original was getting fixed is on the new owner her! Karen change the ruling because that pathetic case makes me disgusted and il never watch again.

10. Dear Judge Karen
I watch your show everyday. I wanted to tell you that I enjoy your show. I really liked the part that all Judges are not just black or white. I believe that each Judge brings a new and refreshing personality to their show. I will admit that I am hooked on court shows as I have always loved any kind of law. Keep up the good work and know that you are appreciated.
