Teaser Trailer To Madea Goes To Jail Now Online

Posted Sep 25th 2008 1:27PM by Wilson Morales
Filed under: It's All Reel

Lionsgate snuck out the teaser trailer to Tyler Perry's 'Madea Goes To Jail' yesterday.

Based by Perry's play of the same name, 'Goes to Jail' focuses its story on Madea whose trouble-making act puts her behind bars.

Starring Perry as Madea, the film also stars Keshia Knight Pulliam as 'Candy', Vanessa Ferlito, Sofia Vergara, Derek Luke, Keke Palmer, David and Tamela Mann, Viola Davis, Judge Mablean Ephriam. Ion Overman, Ronreaco Lee, and Aisha Hinds.

After a high-speed freeway chase puts Madea in front of the judge, her reprieve is short-lived as anger management issues get the best of her and land her in jail. A gleeful Joe couldn't be happier at Madea's misfortune. But Madea's eccentric family members the Browns rally behind her, lending their special "country" brand of support.

Meanwhile, Assistant District Attorney Joshua Hardaway is on the fast track to career success. But Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle - defending young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington - and asks his fiance and fellow ADA Linda Holmes to fill in on his behalf. When Candace ends up in jail, Madea befriends the young woman, protecting her in a 'motherly' way as only Madea can.

Lionsgate will release the film in theaters on February 20, 2009

3. Lorraine your right. By the way, I will be looking forward to YOUR next production. I'm sure it would be box office gold.

4. I love all Tyler show. I purchase all the movies and looking forward to the new ones. I also purchased the plays, I am still looking to see what's new. Tyler I go on vacation with your Cd's and play then in my portable DVD. I even asked the sturdiest on the plane if she would like to use them during the flight. but she could not because they have a different system. continue putting out more movies with medea in it, she reminds me of myself. is she going to get a silver gun one day, or a little petite one maybe some one could give her one as a gift in one of the shows she will really have some fun with words to describe it

5. I love Tyler Perry, I have my money in my hands, I am ready to see the movie, and I will be there when the doors open on the first day it's released, we need a 24 hour a day Typler Perry network for patients in hospital to help them laugh more, so as to speed up their recovery and if they die atleast they would die laughing and not sad over the sad programing. Tyler Loves all people and it show in his movies, he is a nice man and he is not phony, just love he is so talented and so caring and put all of these great black actors and musicans and great white actors and musicans in his blockbuster movies, bye, bye Stehpen Spielberg.

6. Lorraine does not have to make a production. She can critique this one. This will get old (it already has). Just because someone does not like Tyler Perry does not make them a hater.

Why are people so defensive about Tyler Perry?

Madea reinforces so many negative stereotypes about black women (unattractive, loud, ignorant, quick to fight, in trouble with the law). Think about it. I know that I should just see Madea for the fictional character that she is and not take movies and plays too seriously, but I really bothered that so many people love the Madea character.
