Baron Davis Gets Down with Jenny Craig

Posted Sep 24th 2008 5:58PM by Quibian Salazar-Moreno
Filed under: Casually Obsessed, Sports

According to People Magazine, Baron Davis is using a diet plan that no other NBA athlete has admitted to using: Jenny Craig. The baller told People Magazine he's been on the diet since August to get ready for the upcoming NBA season.

"I know Queen Latifah, and when I saw her out there using it, I thought maybe I could use it, too, to work on my health and fitness goals and inspire others," Davis told People. "In the off-season, it's kind of hard to maintain day-to-day. I don't want to get up and cook. And when I pig out, I'm the type of person where there's no limit to what I can do."

Davis won't reveal how much weight he's lost since he's been on the diet until an upcoming press conference, but he does say it's working. He's even getting some of his friends on to the diet; of course, after they clowned him first.

"They were like, 'Huh? Why is Jenny Craig in your fridge? Why are you eating this?'" he said. "But then I'd be at a friend's house and have my weekly check-in call, and they saw how serious I was about it and it helped."

1. aw I love B.D. I hope he doesn't lose his lovely big booty from his diet!

2. This is the reason Baron will not be remembered as one of the greatest ever. I love BD, he's an L.A. product, I ran with and against him a few times back in his High School and UCLA days. He's doing a fine job reppin L.A. in the NBA. However, in the off season you are supposed to stay ready, you are supposed to really be trying to get better. Theres nothing more disappointing than a true talent who never reaches his potential and a player like Baron on Jenny Craig is a sign of him not doing what he's supposed to do over the summer. I'm not saying keep your NBA workout for the summer but don't be gaining wait. I mean damn, run pickup games a 3 or 4 times a week. That's really all you need.

3. you go boy, You need to be ready for the up coming season and if losing weight will help you do what you got to do.

4. Most black athletes after making to the the mainstream sporting world need a diet.. Why? It is because they pump their body with luxurious food items and often relax and enjoy their brooding complacency.. Maybe if a super athlete like baron Davis puts heavy set people and unstable athletes on blast something could change or maybe we could take take down a couple of aisles from the grocery store.
