Wendy Williams Hairstyles

Two packs please -- of the 20 inch Yaki! Wendy Williams must go through MUCH hair in the course of a month because everytime we see this media maven, she has a new 'do. Whatever this self-proclaimed Queen of All Media does -- she does it big -- from her furs to her dripping jewels to that monstrosity that sits atop her dome -- her hair. Like a cheetah girl on steroids, Williams is never far away from animal prints or splashes of pink.

Call Wendy a lot of things (and over the years many people have) but you definitely wouldn't call her a shrinking violet. Nor would you call her a slacker. She has launched herself from one of the hottest radio programs in NYC ('The Wendy Williams Experience') to a nationally syndicated talk show recently picked up by FOX TV. Throw in a couple of books and the queen of media moniker rings more and more true. We give you some of her hairstyles through the years.

The College Survival Guide

    A Fridge
Regardless of whether you have a wonderful sized meal plan, your fridge may come in handy with leftovers or when you feel like stocking it with bottled drinks.

    Computer
The convenience of a computer is essential when sending your kids off to college. Forget the hike to the computer lab across campus students need a computer in the comfort of their room. A printer comes in handy as well. Depending on whether your child plans to carry his laptop around campus, you might opt for a desk top since they're lighter on the pockets.

    Snacks
You will surely survive with off of a meal plan but it doesn't hurt to stock up on snacks when you don't feel like leaving your dorm room. Bottled water, pop corn, cereal and Ramen noodles are all low budget snacks to stock up on. Just be weary of the freshman 15.

    Things from home
Some college students suffer from homesickness the first year. It's best to surround yourself with things like photos of the family, pillows or even stuffed animals. Anything that reminds your child of home.

    MP3 Player
With all the stress that comes from school and exams, sometimes it's nice to block out the chaos in your life and even your roommate with music. It's nearly impossible to find students walking to class who aren't jamming to tunes.

    Budget
Students who enter college often come in at the ripening age of 18. A great time for credit cards. Parents beware, your child may end up ruining their credit at a young age

    Alarm Clock
When you're in college you don't have the luxury of getting awaken by your parents. It's now your responsibility to get to class on time so alarm clocks are a must. But keep your roommate in mind. You shouldn't wake him up ever morning with a blow horn alarm.

    Cleaning supplies
Now you don't necessarily need to bring in the rubber gloves, mop and gas mask but it doesn't hurt to bring along Clorox all purpose wipes for spills or dust. Vacuums and brooms come in handy too depending if you have a carpeted dorm.

    Bedding
What most parents aren't aware of is that most college beds are twin sized but extra long and require special sheets. When shopping keep your eye open for sheets that clearly state 'extra long' or else your child may come up short.

    Shower shoes
You really don't know what some people do in the shower these days. College showers are known to be creeping with germs so spare yourself the fungus and purchase flip flops for the shower. You'll thank us later!

1. Wendy's hair is her trademark. Her styles can be over the top sometimes but that's her. I like her and liked her show. I will be watching it when it comes on in 2009. They yanked her radio show off the air here in Detroit. Wish they would bring it back.

2. OH PLEASE! I LOVE Wendy!!!!Her larger then life hair just fits who she is and what she is. How you Doing?

Tasha at 7:00AM on Sep 5th 2008

3. Wendy is who she is and if hair is her thing, then so be it. If you see her out, you know her immediately by her hair and clothing. It has nothing to do with her radio presentation...maybe to make it better, lol. But she is doing her thing and more power to her. Everyone has a signature look or something and Wendy's is her hair. You keep doing you Wendy!

4. Seriously... is Wendy really a man?

jessica at 9:40AM on Sep 5th 2008

5. She sure looks like s male in drag.

6. Wendy has no hair! Her wigs are her trademark!

7. I've heard Williams's interviews and watched her attempts to banter with A list celebrities and mostly not A-listers...the woman gives horrible interviews and has the personality and overbearing ways of a desperate street walker trying to make quota..or else. I guess her TV show will be a circus and Jerry Sringer like quality...Count me out...

8. Hey Wendy is no slacker in the least. However I can't put up with her messing with that nasty look hair on the show. She needs to have a litle more classy about herself..She needs a true fashion coordinator and a hair designer to bring out the best in Wendy. Wendy is not doing the best job that could be done... So take a step back take a breather and make an appt on what not to wear and give yourself the real hook up you won't regret.

9. ABOUT TINA KNOWLES...
I really did not like the captions about Beyonce's mother and her style choices. Don't forget, Beyonce's mother being able to design clothing and costumes is what got Destiny's child to where they are. No designers wanted to give them clothes, so her mother hooked them up. I just don't think its fair to downplay Tina Knowles' HUGE contribution to Beyonce's career. Presentation is one of the keys to success, if the girls of DC showed up looking busted, they would NOT be where they are today. And remember how their costumes were a big deal because they were all the same fabric but each with a unque style.

10. As a woman of color, i am troubled that it seems that so many black women have resorted to weaves. Whatever happened to wearing your natural hair length and color? I've grown weary of the blond trend that has become so popular. I recently had a conversation with a caucasian friend about beauty and culture, who pointed out that it seems that many black women are unhappy with who they are. I couldn't disagree with her. We have adopted the European standard of beauty-blond hair, weaves, and fake eye color. What is so wrong about proclaiming black pride? Wendy Williams, Lil Kim, and a host of other famous black women send a negative message to young black girls. I wear my hair natural, and it falls beneath my shoulders, and I could never be comfortable wearing horse hair, or synthetic hair, whichever you prefer to call it. As a people we need to learn to lover ourselves.

11. All you haters can go to HELL! Wendy is fine! She could rule my world anyday!

12. She looks like starr jones on a drunken binge

Tasha at 2:01PM on Sep 5th 2008

13. I believe Wendy is a man, no woman is that ugly and no woman relishes in looking a mess as she says.

Rosemary at 2:05PM on Sep 5th 2008

14. Wendy Williams is a woman, but she does renmind me of a drag queen,... "FABULOUS"!!! Lets face it, who doesn't love a drag queen. How You Doowin? Way to go Wendy, luv ya.

Cheryl at 2:09PM on Sep 5th 2008

15. One thing she has been able to do is to turn her over-the-top personality, hair, weaves, etc, into an attention drawing persona for her radio/tv shows.
