Regina King is going through some more drama.

Well, that's with her next big TV gig.

The Los Angeles native will make a return to the small screen in, 'LAPD,' NBC's pilot for an ensemble drama following a group of police officers in Los Angeles.

The actress, who made her television acting debut in the 1980s sitcom '227' and was most recently seen in Fox's '24,' will play a smart, sympathetic Hollywood division detective named Lydia, according to 'The Hollywood Reporter.'The 'How Stella Got Her Groove' star also voiced two main characters on The Cartoon Network animated series, 'The Boondocks.'

King, who delighted moviegoers in last winter's holiday hit, 'This Christmas,' will next star in the Lifetime movie, 'Living Proof,' a drama about breast cancer set to premiere in October.

1. I look forward to seeing her. I saw a movie the other night with Regina King, and I was thinking that she is far from being your average actress. Her roles are always memorable, no matter how small. Hollywood has slept on her talent for too long. I wish you well Ms. King!

Candance77 at 10:57AM on Aug 26th 2008

2. I never heard of Regina King. I thought she was Dr Martin Luther King's daughter until I read in here that she was from L.A. She is no "beauty queen" in fact; if that is the best she can look with all that make-up by the best make-up artist in Hollywood, that is proof that she is UGLY! Ugly for no reason; like President Obama's ugly wife.

Billy Springer at 11:34PM on Aug 27th 2008

3. Now see Billy Springer!!! what you said, shows us that you are just as Ugly, anyone that talks the way you do dont like them self I was told that you can see your self in others that's why you dont like something about them.... HMMMMMMM I wonder what you look like..... I smell a Hater!!!!
P.S For you to think she was DR. Kings daughter, you dont know much.

ericka jeffries at 2:15PM on Aug 28th 2008

5. To Mr. Stringer you are so blind because Michelle and Regina are Beautiful and Black. Regina is a talented actress and is respected by her peers. As for Michelle she is smart, beautiful and well educated.

Get A Life Loser!!!!!!

6. First of all thats the stupids thing I have ever heard dont hate because they got money and your ass broke they are 2 well educated strong black women so dont be a hater all your life get a job and a life.

Letesha at 9:16PM on Aug 28th 2008

7. Mr. Springer, you may be a angry jealous man and not very respectful of black people but, at least you gave Obama his props by referring to him as "PRESIDENT OBAMA". Thanks for the respect...

Dale Swain at 4:11PM on Aug 29th 2008

8. Regina King is one of my fav actress' EVER!! She should have won a Oscar for "Ray", She was great in Boyz in the Hood, she was EXCELLENT in "Jerry McQuire"..she puts her heart in every role she plays, I think she will win an Oscar someday.....
P.S. Billy Springer,YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!!!!
THEY SHOULD DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT!!!

Spark at 9:46AM on Aug 30th 2008

9. LOL.. this Billy springer person is a joke
apparently a bigot and a racist and a attention seeker
hey Bily u got your attention now crawl back under your rock..by the way is your father named jerry?
cause you sure sound like you one of Jerry's Kids!

Curtis Walton at 10:34AM on Aug 30th 2008

10. Calm down everyone! Let cooler heads prevail or we will have a full day of Springer responses. It is a well known fact that some are just on here to antagonize and sit back watching the fur fly, so to speak. As stated in a previous posting, the fact that the fool referred to our next leader as PRESIDENT OBAMA was kind of prophetic, don't you think?
Let's thank the little weasel for confirmation and move on. We know these sisters are lovely, talented and respected. Let the guard put that thing back in his cage, until the next time he is allowed out to use the common computer. Be kind. His cell is small and he has nothing to do all day except listen to the sounds of the other men play dominoes and at night, well, he has to be afraid, very afraid. Cellmates can be "tricky".
Peace Yawl!

11. Had to come back and laugh about Curtis Walton's remark about being one of "Jerry's Kids". Thanks Curtis, you made my day!

Zenobia at 11:33AM on Aug 30th 2008

12. Hey,I can't let this go, I must stated my claim... Well Jerry Springer, Opps, I mean Billy Springer as I read your message you sound very shadow. Having nothing to do. Poor child!! Well, if you want to really know about Regina King- I believe she started on a show called 227. I guess that's enough information you need. We don't need to educate you to much.LOL
And thank you for stating the truth about our Next PRESIDENT OBANMA, Yes, he will be the Next Educated, Black Man.. Our President.

Thank you, dumb Azz!! Grow UP

13. both of them beat looking at cindy mccain or hillary 'i got a thousand pant suits' clinton.

14. C'mon y'all.. You're defeating the purpose. The man is entitled to his opinion. If Mr. Springer thinks Regina and Michelle are unattractive it's okay. Those are his eyes. Re-read the post. He also gave Barack the nod as President. So--- take the bitter and the sweet, and move on!!! We know Regina is a wonderful actress who's yet to receive her accolades. But they are coming, don't worry Ms. King. You will get your Oscar, along with Don Cheadle. Standby Hollywood--------We're coming for you.......
