The actress, who made her television acting debut in the 1980s sitcom '227' and was most recently seen in Fox's '24,' will play a smart, sympathetic Hollywood division detective named Lydia, according to 'The Hollywood Reporter.'The 'How Stella Got Her Groove' star also voiced two main characters on The Cartoon Network animated series, 'The Boondocks.'
King, who delighted moviegoers in last winter's holiday hit, 'This Christmas,' will next star in the Lifetime movie, 'Living Proof,' a drama about breast cancer set to premiere in October.

1. I look forward to seeing her. I saw a movie the other night with Regina King, and I was thinking that she is far from being your average actress. Her roles are always memorable, no matter how small. Hollywood has slept on her talent for too long. I wish you well Ms. King!
