Last weekend, I had the wonderful pleasure of getting down to the one of the hottest fashion and cultural destinations in Brooklyn---Harriet's Alter Ego Boutique. This boutique is not only home to some of the flyest indie labels in the city, but they also count Erykah Badu, Common, Mos Def and Dead Prez as some of their celebrity friends who constantly rock their threads.
On top of this, they happen to throw some of the most unique fashion and art events....last week's Backyard Couture Shop and Party event was no exception with indie designers selling their wares in their private garden, underground artists spewing conscious hip-hop and the neo-soul-fashion elite chit chatting and sipping on some bubbly. With 600 attendees I would say it was a hit...grab some pricey bottled water and take a peep at some of the action via photo and have a very sexy, stylish weekend!!!!!!
