First Pics Of 'Soul Men' With Samuel L. Jackson And Bernie Mac

Posted Jul 23rd 2008 9:25AM by Wilson Morales
Filed under: It's All Reel

Coming out in November is another film directed by Malcolm D. Lee. 'Soul Men' stars Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mac, Sean Hayes, Sharon Leal, Jennifer Coolidge, Isaac Hayes, Affion Crockett, John Legend, Adam Herschman, Fatso Fasano, and Jackie Long.

'Soul Men' is about two former backup soul singers Louis (Samuel L. Jackson) and Floyd (Bernie Mac) who travel cross country to perform at a tribute concert in honor of their famous former band leader, played by John Legend. They haven't spoken to each other in 20 years but reluctantly agree to travel together for the tribute performance. Both Jackson and Mac will do their own musical and dance performing in the film.

Earlier this year, Lee had directed 'Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins' with Martin Lawrence, while Jackson was seen 'Jumper' and 'The Cleaner', both of which are now available on DVD.

2. Allrighty, then, this should be a great chick flick with sambo and bernie. I guess they could not do Sam and Dave story because Sam Moore still have a career and they gotta wait untill he croaks or soome kind of shit like that. Love that Sambo L Jackson [from my home town of Chattanooga,Tn]Did not grow up with the jigaboo, had been ran out of town when he was proably still a pup.

7. I think that those are two of the most talented actors in the business, I love every venture that each has been involved in. As to pigdrop1, you can not be from Tennessee, my home state, spouting such ignorance. If so, I know your family and people who know of you, wish that you would move out of the country

8. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

ARTICULATESOUL at 4:59PM on Jul 26th 2008

9. To bigdslob1, what was the point of your ill-written, ignorant rant? Were you just waiting for an opportunity to show everyone what a racist asshole you are? Well you succeeded! Good job in showing America why we as blacks still have a problem with some whites and why we can't just "get over" slavery, racism and bigotry; people like you keep it going!!

deeloveleeone at 5:18PM on Jul 26th 2008

12. These are prime actors and they will work well toghter.

marcatitus@aol.com at 7:22PM on Jul 26th 2008

13. I wish John Legend was not in this movie. I cannot stand stupid black men that do not respect black women.

Joann at 1:55AM on Jul 27th 2008

14. I wish John Legend was not in this movie. I cannot stand black men that date white, asian, mexican, latino or women that are light bright half way white.

Joann at 1:58AM on Jul 27th 2008

15. Wow ease up Joann, there are million's of brothers in america. Is he the only one you see, if that is his type of women he chooses to be with what business is it of yours. If you have a man did you choose him yourself or did someone choose him for you. Black is beautiful but so is white latino and mexican. indian and all the other nationalities in america and beyond. Sounds like you are salty because legend did not choose you. Maybe he just has not seen you yet, :)you be with who you want to be with and dont worry about who all the other brothers in America are dating. Do you think brothers should only eat chocolate cake? because there are a lot of other flavors that are the bomb too. do you and your man babydoll and don't worry about what or who the other brothers are doing.
