LeBron James never went to college, but if he did it probably would have been University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The athletic program at Akron is sponsored by adidas, but according to ESPN, the men's basketball team just signed a three year deal with Nike and LeBron James starting next season.
"They'll get everything: bags, uniforms, shoes, travel wear, the whole nine yards," James told ESPN.James also hosts the LeBron James Skills Academy at Akron, the LeBron James King's Academy (a summer camp in late June) and the King James Shooting Stars Classic AAU event in April at the school, giving the program even more shine in the spotlight. But for LeBron it all comes down to his relationship with Keith Dambrot. Dambrot coached LeBron's Akron's St. Vincent-St. Mary High school from 1998 to 2001. He won two state titles with James in 2000 and '01. Dambrot is now coach at Akron.
"It's simple with me," James told ESPN. "I have a relationship with Coach Dambrot. He gave me my first opportunity to play high school basketball. The relationship continues to grow even after he left. This is my way of giving back to Coach Dambrot for everything he has done for me. He gave my friends an opportunity to play college basketball, and I'm giving back to [Akron]."

1. Good job, Lebron. Now it's time to give something back to your high school.
