Out On DVD - 'All About Us' With Boris Kodjoe

Posted Jul 3rd 2008 9:20AM by Wilson Morales
Filed under: It's All Reel

For those indie filmmakers out there who have had success on the festival circuit and yet find it difficult to get their follow-up film off the ground, here's a film that shows the struggle and committment to keep trying.

Multiple award-winning husband and wife filmmakers, Christine Swanson (writer-director) and Michael Swanson (producer) follow up their celebrated romantic comedy, All About You, with their new romantic drama, 'All About Us', which is now available on DVD.

All About Us is a refreshing romantic drama inspired by a true story. When a filmmaking couple hits a brick wall in Hollywood, they set off to Mississippi to find Morgan Freeman and persuade him to star in their next movie. When life gets in their way, the couple soon discovers what matters to them most.

With stellar performances by Boris Kodjoe and Ryan Michelle Bathe, the legendary Rudy Dee and special appearance by Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman; 'All About Us' provides an insightful commentary on the familial rifts that ambition often create.

If you haven't seen 'All About You', go pick it up because it's definitely a film that has romance, drama, and music and was well received by the public. Check out the trailer below.

5. The Kodjoes' are an inspiration to "beautiful" couples. I always say that it's a curse to be pretty. People either love you or hate you. One top of that, they are viable celebrities having to deal with the drama of day-to-day living. I love them. I pray that they grow old together like Ozzie (R.I.P.) & Ruby Dee.

12. I watched this movie today and it was such a heartfelt film. To watch them experience the struggles of life that are so similar amongst us all was inspiring. I watched the Behind the Scenes footage and Mrs. Ruby is such a wonderful great speaker. Her encouraging words have inspired me - this movie has inspired me to not give up on my dreams. Great job!!! This is the type of movies we need to represent us and not the garbage that gets distributed like candy. Peace.
