The first black Democratic presidential nominee and the Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have patched up their differences stemming from Clinton's dismissal of Obama's victory in the South Carolina primary and other racially-tinged comments.
And remember not long after throwing his hat in for president last year, Obama affectionately said he's like to have Willy in his cabinet? ...
The two top Democrats spoke by phone and ended their mutual "silent treatment" yesterday. Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said:
Senator Obama had a terrific conversation with President Clinton and is honored to have his support in this campaign. He has always believed that Bill Clinton is one of this nation's great leaders and most brilliant minds, and looks forward to seeing him on the campaign trail and receiving his counsel in the months to come. With his ego stroked, Clinton finally showed Obama some respect. Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna said in a statement:
President Clinton continues to be impressed by Senator Obama and the campaign he has run, and looks forward to campaigning for and with him in the months to come. The President believes that Senator Obama has been a great inspiration for millions of people around the country, and he knows that he will bring the change America needs as our next President. While Obama is the new Alpha male, Clinton wanted to show him that he is still the "Big Dog."

1. You simply cannot trust the Clintons. They are a dynamic power couple and a force to be reckoned with. Rumor has it that Billy Boy tried to snub Oprah at the dinner for Mandela's 90th Birthday. I know he is disheartened that his wife lost; but being a sore loser will make you lose even more cool points within the black community.
