Charlie Sheen Sorry for N-Word - Racist Celebrity Remark No. 237

Posted Jun 19th 2008 3:00PM by Jeff Douglas
Filed under: BlackSpin

A three-year-old voice mail has surface of actor Charlie Sheen calling his ex-WHITE wife the N-word, the C-word, the S-word and many other nasty words that were obviously never meant to see the light of day.

In a recent statement, Sheen apologizes for the language he used in his long fiery voice-mail to Denise Richards: "I deeply apologize by my choice of words to all I have obviously offended; especially to Tony Todd, an African-American, who was my best man at my first two weddings."

So I guess if Charlie didn't have a black best friend, he wouldn't be as sorry or embarrassed.

When white folks use the N-word why is the "I got black friends" defense always the first thing to come with an apology or excuse? At least he didn't say "I was in a movie with Chris Tucker, so I apologize to him."

Whatever, here's a transcription of his stupid rant ...Sheen: "Yeah, I just got your other email and I am a little confused because you told me that was something you only told a couple of people, and this and that, and I just, again you continue to be deceitful and mischievous and sneaky, and you're a f*cking liar. Okay. You're a f*cking liar. So, you know what it's like, f*ck you. Okay, I hope you rot in f*cking hell. You're a piece of shit f*cking liar and I hope you f*cking rot in hell. So f*ck you. I hope I never f*cking talk to you again you f*cking [c-word]. F*ck you. You're a coward and a liar and a f*cking ni---- all right, so f*ck you."

He dropped the F-bomb about 20 times in three minutes on the tape. Sounds like these two had some real "irreconcilable differences" for their divorce.

Word For Word - May 23, 2008

"They've already agreed to give Beyonce a cameo appearance. But (we're) hoping that (she) could be written in for a recurring role, or possibly even a permanent one," -- says a source in Beyonce' Knowles camp, talking to MediaTakeOut.com, on her upcoming appearance on the tv hit "Desperate Housewives."

"I've always had a weird thing about it (having kids) because my parents divorced when I was three and I didn't really have many examples of what was the norm."-- Mariah Carey on having kids.

"It's just kind of poking fun at the fact that this queen image has prevailed for so long. It's having fun with it and saying I was out of the picture for a while but she's back." -- Donna Summer on her new LP entitled, "Crayons."

"I don't know how good I'll be at it, but it's something that I want to try." -- Rihanna, the "Umbrella" hitmaker is reportedly set to star in upcoming film Mama Black Widow - the story of a black family's migration from the South in the 1930s.

''There was one perfect person, and they called him Jesus Christ,'' Chapman said. ''You have to ... realize that everyone is human, and you can err.'' --Dog "The Bounty Hunter."

"It's a vicious rumour. And it's run amok." --Rod McCrew tells XXLmag.com about the condition of Nate Dogg who has been recovering at home since he was hospitalized in December.

"I heard this CD in its entirety for the first time just days ago and was devastated. Riddled with grief over an album that was seemingly so carelessly orchestrated, I sat down with the president of Koch (records) to come to a decision on how to make the best of this situation. In another phase of my life and career, I would have dealt with this situation with litigation, but for the benefit of my fans and in the wake of the profound spiritual cleansing I recently underwent in prison, I made the decision to settle our creative differences amicably. My fans have waited seven years for an in-store release and deserve my very best." -- Foxy Brown tells Allhiphop.com about her new CD.

1. Wow. When a belligerent girlfriend breaks up with me (and I have), I just ignore their messages and get to living life. Maybe pick up a new girlfriend. I wouldn't leave an unspeakably scathing message on their answering machine, not to mention one that forgets the wife's race (what the heck!!!), and uses the slur to diss other people.

But I guess it takes different strokes to move the world. Huh, Charlie?

2. Ya know Charlie Shern and Clint Eastwood are all at Warner Bros studio in Burbank. Last Year some black workers say they were called the "N" word by executives at Warner Bros. I see a pattern

3. Who cares. Are we really suprised that white dude used the word Nigger? I'm Black and if you were to record some of my private voicemails and conversations you would catch some explict analysis and rage too. I'm just so beyond getting outraged when a white dude uses the word Nigger. But, voice mail from 3 years ago when him and his wife were going through a tuff and bitter relationship. I'm not going to hold him accountable for that unless EVERYBODY tapes and releases all of their viocemails and private conversations.

5. i think he might have said the the n word to her because maybe she was acting igornant at the time. not trying to make it seem like it's right. just maybe he was using the word for what it meant.

6. Denise Richards is a beautiful "She Devil" that could have any black man she desires. She was the star of "Undercover Brother" a few years back. Was the use of the "N-word" an angry response to her sexual curiosity? This woman played her role to the fullest in "Wild Things" with Nev Campbell. Was the "N-word" Charlie's way of "Screaming" at a real "Undercover Brother?" Yes, I would like to be her friend. Charlie gets a pass on this improper use because it was in the heat of passion with a girl that has a history of doing "Freaky Thangs." The first slip is free because she's beautiful and it's got to hurt. Charlie ain't doing so bad now is he? Clearly, he has moved on quite nicely. How would you respond to a peice of meat that looked like "Two and a half men?" Is this "JoJo" from Gretawire?

Cecil Jones at 11:43AM on Jun 20th 2008

7. But why would he call her the "N" word when they were fighting about the kids? He had to have called her a "N" lover. I am trying to figure out in what context could he have used that word and the media reports arent releasing the tape (he is on the #1 show in the US so they cover for white racist)-but from the complaints by 2 black workers at Warner Bros studio (where Clint Eastwoon and Charlie Sheen) both film and have offices-it appears that there are some racial problems in Hollywood with these people. Ya know everyone talked about Isiah Washington uses the homosexual slur in a conversation that didnt even involve the gay actor but I find it funny that many in Hollywood do not even use the term "black" or "African America" they just say "N*gg*r" and this is normal!

Jo Jo at 12:47PM on Jun 20th 2008

8. Don't get your panties in a bunch,,,DO YOU KNOW ONE BLACK MAN WHO HAS NOT USED THE N.WORD ?????

9. CORRECTION HE HAD BLACK FRIENDS!!

10. The N word doesn't bother or worry me any.... The N word means of ignorance not skin color.

Juanita at 10:21AM on Jun 21st 2008

11. No pass for Charlie Sheen, he clearly meant to demean the wife, and his choice of words means he believes the n-word has power to demean.

I, too, have been plenty angry at people throughout my life. Never once did it occur to me to use the n-word to attack them. Why would it?

t.bogdon at 1:13PM on Jun 21st 2008

12. JoJo,
You will be happy to hear that after all the criticism Clint Eastwood is making a new movie "The Brothers of Iwo Jima" in which all the brave men who raise the flag are black. Whites will be playing the role of the Japanese so they will be easier to hate.

Buydow at 1:53PM on Jun 21st 2008

13. Hi Pappy. Do you mean at all or in public? Iim sure there are plenty of black dudes I can show you who hasn't used that word.

Black Sunshine at 7:38PM on Jun 21st 2008

14. This word is never far off the minds of all white people so dont be surprise when its the first word out of their mouth.

chas jr at 12:54AM on Jun 22nd 2008

15. Let me see if I understand some of ya'll correctly;
the man was married to this woman, had kids with this
woman and in a fit rage, called her the "N" word so
now he's a racist? C'mon, stop playing! How many of ya'll in a fit of rage, feeling betrayed, hurt, angry, etc. didn't lash out at your other half with everything in the book you could think of?
The objective in these cases is to inflict the same hurt, anger and betrayal you feel at the moment - by any means necessary. In his case, he used
the "N" word. I don't condone what he said - I don't
condone no man disrespecting a woman - and certainly
not a wife who bore his kids. But I understand where
it came from, and it didn't stem from racism. re-read
the e-mail. He was so pissed, he didn't know what to say. He was scrambling, saying everything he could think of trying to inflict the same pain he felt. If you wannna jump up and down about racist attacks, look around...look around, there happening everyday all around you right in front of your face! Maybe that's the problem. Up close and personal you can't
see it - or choose not to. Maybe you waiting on an Al Sharpton or somebody to come handle it. Well, I got a news flash for you; there's room at the cross for us
all. And until we as a people a willing to take that
"walk to calvary" and be persecuted by those you fight against, critcized by those you fighting for, continually told you ain't doing enough when you put your whole life on the line to do what it is you do -
then it is what it is! And that's how it's gonna be,until we get it together. So if the "N" word got you all twisted, hold on a minute. You ain't seen nothing yet.
