R. Kelly Flies Free - Collect Your Bets

Posted Jun 13th 2008 8:00PM by Jeff Douglas
Filed under: BlackSpin, R. Kelly

Either you're saying "I told you so!" or you just lost the bet and owe somebody some money.

If you put your money on R. Kelly heading to prison for an alleged underage sex tape of unspeakable acts, you lost. R. Kelly won. Finally, it's time to pay up and move on.

You might have made that bet six years ago, when "celebrity sex tapes" were becoming the norm, before YouTube. Back when Chappelle's Show was still on the air! ...

R. Kelly Trial

R&B singer R. Kelly (L) arrives at the Cook County courthouse where jury selection is scheduled to begin for his child pronography trial May 9, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois. Kelly has been accused of videotaping himself having sex with a girl believed to be as young as 13 years old. Kelly faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

THEY SAID HE DID WHAT TO THAT GIRL?!?!? Was it a setup? Was there a mole on his back? Wait. Is that R. Kelly's Grammy on the mantel and "Bump N' Grind" playing in the background?

None of it matters. The case is closed.

Now, R. Kelly's an innocent man and goes down in the bizarre criminal case studies that include O.J. Simpson, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jackson, and most recently Michael Vick.

1. OH DAMN!!!!! now all those fake ass comedians and/or radio personalities will have to find some new material. I know I'm not the only one who was tired of hearing all those stale ass jokes.

2. Thank God! I am so happy for R Kelly. Now all the idiots who thought he was guilty can leave him alone. It took six years to finally go to trial. It is ridiculous! Out of no where all of these witnesses start comming out of the woodwork. Where were they six years ago. LEAVE HIM BE! Let him make his beautiful music that he has always done. God Bless you Robert. I will continue to be on of your biggest fans.

6. Oh, HELL NAWWWWWWWWWWWWW! That sick man is GUILTY and they all new it! R. Kelly could have had that MOLE removed at that time and it could have grew back? The jury probably picked a tape that was not that good of quality and the mole was there clear as day? But, they denied seeing anything? What about the Grammy that was at that house? What typical person would have that in their house? You know darn well, that a trial doesn't take that long and with so many UN NECESSARY DELAYS? R. Kelly paid that girl, paid people up in that jury and probably paid the judge too! He thinks that $$$$ can get him out of trouble with his SICK ADDICTIVE AZZ! I will never have any respect for R. Kelly or his stupid music! He will pay for all the young under aged girls that he had sex with!!! Can't people see the pattern of this SICKO? Remember Aaliyah ? She was under-aged and he married her!

9. Do take this the wrong way, I think any man should be held accountable for there actions ,but less look at this picture as a whole.
Ok! whatever age the allegded victim... It is clear she is very experienced in all sexual activities so lets get off the fact of age, there are women out there who are trying to cash in all over the world and there men as well, that have there hustle on with those women to get over....how many times have a guy me a female at the club and got it on...or females meet a guy and did there thing too...question ? did you ask how old the person was....if they where there them they wre carying themself as an adult.....
Hell half the men in the US have a woman half his age and women also...Point being if you have been married before you don't want nothin old but money ..LOL.. haven't you heard the older ladies say that if you haven't... you have been in the dark age.
get over it......

14. I didn't see the tape but i do remember that at the time people were pretty much sure that it was him in the video. What i do find strange is the length of time it took for the trial. If it was so obvious it
wasn't him in the video why did it take so long to
close the case? You would think the records company and all who stood to lose money behind the allegation
would have brought this to a close as soon as possible. Seeing as how they have access to the best
attorney's available - why didn't they do this if in
fact he was innocent? I'm not saying he's guilty, but
the manner in which the case was handled and the length of time it took to resolve it, makes me wonder.

Danette Chavis at 3:47AM on Jun 14th 2008

15. I never saw the tape either but when the alleged victim is denying that it was her, then your case falls flat. All that's left is a jealous ex friend and a family looking like they are out for nothing but a cash settlement. In an age where so many things are photoshopped and edited to make things look like what they aren't, you can't trust a dark grainy video and say that him and that's her, if both are denying and no one else was there, you can't have a case. If the prosecution had so much overwhelming evidence it would have went longer but they didn't. It's over now let's drop it, move on.
