With all recent back and forth war talk that has been going on between Spike Lee and Clint Eastwood, Mr. Lee will have more to say once his film, 'Miracle at St. Anna; comes out this Fall. Making a war film with Blacks is one thing, having it be a great film is another issue.
Based on the novel by James McBride, 'Miracle at St. Anna' chronicles the story of four black American soldiers who are members of the US Army as part of the all-black 92nd "Buffalo Soldier" Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy during World War II.
They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy.
The cast includes a bevy of establashed and rising talent such as Derek Luke, Michael Ealy, Laz Alonso, Omar Benson Miller, Matteo Sciabordi, John Leguizamo, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Michael K. Williams, Walton Goggins, Malcolm Goodwin, Kerry Washington, Tory Kittles, Lemon, Pierfrancesco Favinom and Valentina Cervi.

1. Looking forward to seeing this one,Spike.Even though Clint is known for correctness in his films, glad you pointed out the "non-colored " aspect of his last two.The many stories of how we contributed to the history of this and other countries ,during war times, needs to be told on all fronts.
