2. For once can somebody do something original, this is 2008 why in the heck are the eighties back. I guess the 60's and 70's came and went to many times already. I guess it is ok to call yourself unique if you recycle 10 different styles at the same time, styles that have already come and went from true style innovators of those times.

4. I totally agree with you Truthfully #1. Why can't these young artist be original? These young artist need to be more creative and invent their own style for the future. I am so sick of tired seeing these young artist putting together mess. Please, to all the young hip artist out there, "Give Michael Jackson back his glove"! Leave the 80's style in the past and move on!

6. I think everything is changing, and some people like with anything else, dont like change. I dont understand this change in hip hop myself, however I think there MUST be change in fashion and the freedom for one to express themselves as they be. What works for you may not work for someone else, we are all unique in our on ways.

7. Well, as a 17 year old, I have to say that the new 80's trend is hot!Fashion has a history of repeating itself anyway, so it's not that the new artist are not doing their own thing and being original, but their taking old trends and putting their own spin on them.

8. Exactly Raymetria, fashion DOES repeat itself. It about time for everyone to stop havin 70's parties. The 80's was a decade of first's. I 'm happy to see kids rockin the gear I wore as a teenager, it brings back a sense of nostalgia. Hip hop took off in the 80's but so did crack and our communitie began to decline. I hope these young people are more aware their choices than some of our peers were. Besides fashion has always been a wasy of expressing oneself, so "Express yourself" young folks, All yeah, all yeah.

10. I was born in the 60's. When I was coming up and the new styles came in my mother would say, That was out 10 years ago, or I wore that in high school. We'd go around and around about what the new style was. It was 10 years later when I realized what she was talking about. The same styles resurface about every 10 years.

11. I grew up in the 80's and I knew sooner or later it was going to come back around. I love the fact that my kids are going to be wearing what I did at their age! Let them try to tell me now that I don't understand how they dress!

13. There is nothing wrong with bringing back the 80's it was a very cool time when life was fun and so were the clothes. Now your talking about 2008 when kids are all most naked and having everything hanging out and trying to look 35 at lest with the 80's there covered up and it looks fun and they don’t look like sluts like now days. So relax if you don’t like it don’t wear it! Everything is recycled it is just called a different name. There are only 3 basic hair cuts that can be converted into many hairstyles all which can be styled to look like the 50’s, 60’s and so on. Just like the bob hair style that Victoria Bechiem is wearing that they think is so cut I wore that in the 80’s so its no different than in clothes and dances. Do you every see people dancing and say on that’s the bus stop with a little twist or oh we use to do that and it was called the broken hip. Nothing changes but the name and nothing changers with clothes. There is only so much you can do with a pair a jeans or a black dress everything is repeated after a certain period of time. The jeans people pay 100 dollars for with holes in them, we did that in the 80’s by just taking a pair of levis and cutting them and washing them.. You get the same effect nothing new but the prices.

You know it's people like Aaron that make me long for the 80's.WTF does crack have to do with fashion? and why bring up somthing so negative with an upbeat subject.As far as 80's parties go,Dimepiece,OMG who calls themself that played out name?stop the hate crimes people.the 80's WAS a great time it gave people a chance to have their own style, big hair,cool music, rap songs that you could learn from. True, that's the past but lighten up, God.
