3. Rev Wright is an extremely inteligent,articulate man. Many people are trying to drum up fire where there is no smoke. The media needs to get over it and Obama needs to stop wasting time and realize that any voter that is swayed by this whole incident was not going to vote for him anyway. Obama is going to be the next president and that is fact!

4. America hides from the truth constantly.

Rev.Wright didn't lie, actually he left a lot out.

I guess the agency that sterilized blacks and what they called infidels didn't exist. Or the black men our government watch die of Syphillis never happened either. How about the black man that was dragged to death when Bush was govenor.
I think Mr. Obama has run a clean and forgiving campainge joing all of us together in a common cause. While Hilary keeps fanning the flames. There are alot of things this country has done to and against black people WAY after slavery that Mr. Obama has witnessed and it has affected him personally as a Black man in America that he has chosen not to mention. I commend him for that!!

5. I was watching Rev. Wright and thought yes, it was good that he was speaking out to tell the world that this was about the "Black Church". But he then, went on and pressed about the issues of him serving in the military for 6 years and how many did Chenny serve? Questions like, the "War", "AIDS", and jokingly becoming Obama's Vice-President, I didn't think he should have came out with a "STRONG TONE" in his voice and brought it up! After Rev. Wright' talk, I watched Roland Martin a CNN Contributor and David Greggen a Political Analyst and they both gave bad revues on Rev. Wright. Roland Martin said that, "Rev. Wright" was not in his "Comfort Zone" to speak and use the tone that he did. Rowland had said he blew it at the "National Press Club" and gave him a "F". He also said, the Bill Moyer show should have been enough and should of left it as that. The media will not let this go and we all will not be focusing on the real issues that is going on in our Economy toady! David Greene had said, he is a intelligent and good man but, when Rev. Wright was on the Bill Moyer Show, he should have gave a tour of his church and told what good things the church has done. The two had said, the NAACP event on Sunday was good but today Rev. Wright, showed another side.

I understand that he had to come out and tell America that he was doing this because of the "Black Church" and I understand what the things he said and the media had taken out of context but, this wasn't the time and with everything going on with the war, economy, health, education,ect.. those issues are more important! I am not saying, that what Rev. Wright said wasn't right, it's just how he presented, how he delivered, and what audience he delivered it to!

Obama's campaign manager Susan had said, that we all need to focus on the real issues. She said, what the Rev. Wright had said today was a "Distraction" for Obama's Campaign". She feels that the Rev. Wright is doing this to try to build up his legacy. Susan had also said, that Obama doesn't agree or embrace the issues of what Rev. Wright has said and that Rev. Wright needs to put the negativity in the past and move forward.

Right now, Rev. Wright is now getting "Death Threats" and the "Nation of Islam" is protecting him on top of his own protection he has.

I feel that this will never go away even though what Rev. Wright had said was the "Truth" but a lot of people that don't like him or don't understand will turn it into major! Hopefully, things will not get too heated? I too feel, Rev. Wright should have talked more about what he churches offers and what good it does, and take everybody on a tour on the Bill Moyer show to better understand him. That would have been enough. He then wouldn't have went on about the issue day after day to still make his point.

6. I am not in the least to know that Rev.Wright is an extremely inteligent,articulate and knowledgeable black man.He is an example that our joung black children should be following.Education is a powerfull tool to posses and the REV.has it all.
Moreover as he so eloquently stated he follows the one that gives that.. knowledge to man,JESUS CHRIST

Goodness! Rev. Wright is now making Farrakhan look like a Saint, for real. Well, Obama used Rev. Wright to get into Illinois politics and I guess Rev. Wright is using Obama to be more feared than Farrakhan.

9. Pronunciation and grammar are not analogous. "He go to the skoo beoding" is deficient not because of the pronunciation of "school" or "building," but because of the improper verb tense "go." That flaw aside, the rest of the Reverand's sermon was entertaining, articulate and enlightening, albeit divisive.

10. Rev. Wright has said nothing wrong. Everything he has spoke about is nothing but the truth. Its only wrong for those who do not want to hear the truth. If the truth hurts.....so be it. He speaks only of history and his experience; this is not something he has made up. The media should treat it as it is a lesson, a history lesson which should have been taught from the beginning and then maybe people would not think so negative about different colors, creed, religious or faiths.

11. Miss T is spot on with her post, the "offended" parties are looking to justify their decision not to vote for Obama. These types of comments are said privately and they need to be made public. Let's have some REAL discourse, not 50 year old rhetoric. The best way to stimulate sluggish minds is to disturb their routine.

12. The problem I have with the Reverend Wright is the appearance that everything negative in history was done by the collective white devil, and that all people of color are nobel. That is a recurring theme. Maybe you could provide some samples of the thousands of years of Arab slave trading in Africa, and the millions of innocent people killed in the Japanese threatre before the bomb was dropped which put a stop to it. There is no balance. One hundered years ago everyone were slaves to the wealthy land owners every where. Children worked sixteen hours a day in the mines, in the factories, on the farms. There werre no benefits for anyone. Give us some balance. And don't let me get started on the twenty eight conflicts in the world all involving repressive Muslim regimes. Give us some balance or shut up.

13. While I applaud the efforts of Jeremiah Wright in trying to set the record straight on the 'Black Church' in America, I feel he has missed the mark. First of all, the tenor and tone in which Jeremiah presents the dialogue with the rest of America, is not real inviting. So what he has to say, even if it is legitimate, makes it difficult to receive. Secondly, Black people must stop seeing themselves as victors and not victims all the time. We need to move from this mindset. Are there problems in this country and the rest of the world? Yes there are. But we as a people can't solve them by ourselves. We need people of all races with a common purpose and destiny in mind to eradicate the issues that face us individually and collectively. We can't do this by maintaining a posture of alienation and isolation.

Originally I was upset with Rev Wright's involvement and what he was saying but after hearing his complete speech this morning I was enlighten to what he was all about,he speaks the truth and most people have a problem with the truth. This furthers my distust of the media.The media not only bends the news but they lie.

15. Rev. Wright could of took this chance to do some good & make some valid progress. There were some good points but most of it was very arrogant, especially in reply to questions.

Is he now the spokesperson for the entire black church? I thought it was Sharpton or Jackson. Wright desperately needs to take some public speaking lessons from both of these men.

I do everything to avoid toxic people & being a member of the Church of Christ...I am finding my peace within not with this lost prophet. He better quit talking & start praying.

He will have plenty to answer for....
