Give Me Color!

Now that spring has finally sprung, an array of colors fills the landscape and we fashionistas must stay in-tuned with spring's fresh shades. With assistance from colors of red roses to purple hibiscus, this season's wardrobe should mimic a lovely, vibrant garden. But don't grab your AMEX so quickly! First, you must decide which hue is right for you!

Jennifer Hudson on the cover of Vogue, adorns a deep- look at me damn-it red, which is gorgeous on her rich brown skin tone.

Shakira's hips don't lie in this tomato red dress, which brings out her natural red skin tone.

Akon (on the left) sports a vibrant blue hue, which helps to bring forth his distinctive features. Blue has indeed become the new black.

While thumping the campaign trail, presidential hopeful Barack Obama, consistently wears pale blue ties, which are ideal for his fair skin tone. Blue addicts are tranquil, gentle and trustworthy. You have my vote Mr. Obama!

Kim Kardashian knows how to make you look twice, especially in this purple dress. What's so great about purple is that is can be worn by almost every skin tone and still look vibrant.

Star Jones' darker complexion is also wonderful in this purple frock.

Beyonce Knowles' emerald green dress gives her brown sugar skin tone a vivacious, high heeled kick.

Tyra Banks's mint green two piece bathing suite is a vivid contrast to her fabulous tanned brown tone.

Yellow is another stand out and notice me color, but one must find the right shade in order for it to work. Gabrielle Union chooses a daffodil yellow to offset her brown skin.

While, Nicole Richie chooses a satin sun yellow to complement her fair skin tone.

Kim Porter's tangerine orange dress demands a second look and is in line with her dark honey complexion.

Fair? Yearn to wear orange? A chic choice for your skin tone is a cantaloupe orange, which will make your tawny tone POP!

1. these women can wear any color and look good, take it to the street and you will find some disasters

2. Everybody on here except for a few people look nice with whatever color they had on. The singer, Shakira, red might be her color but her hair was too OVERPOWERING! When you look at the dress and color, you tend to look more at that "HAIR". In my opinion, your hair color and style has to COORDINATE with the clothing you choose to wear. The hair was taking away the look of the dress she wore. The color of the dress didn't stand out! The second person, Star Jones purple dress, "I AM NOT FEELING IT AT ALL"! The color and style of her dress, looked to be in a FUNERAL or something? Last, I love "B" and green does look good on her but, that shade of green, the material, and style of the dress made her look like she COULDN'T BREATH. I didn't like that shade of green on her. What "B" should have done to pull it off was to make her hair LIGHTER so that the dress would stand out. That is my opinion.

3. I have to say, that pic of Tyra has to be old? The green looks nice on her but that girl has meat on her like "B" now.

I'm just sayin at 12:24AM on Apr 24th 2008

4. Star Jones looks like a black "Morticia " from the "Addam's Family", with that UGLY PURPLE DRESS!

5. OOOoooh what shades of ORANGE does for the
dark brown skin. It has made some changes
in my way that is truly wonderful. I feel
so hot in this wonderful color of grace.
Try it to see what I mean.

6. I love the colors shown especially the dark red worn by Jennifer Hudson. As long as you feel confident with whatever color you choose it will work.

7. Kim...I am not mad at you! I guess you showed Jennifer up! She wore the infamous green dress...you knocked it out of the park!

8. My question is what are you people recommending the dark skin tone female to wear. I see where you showed the same skin tones over and over which is crazy because there happens to be more colors of black skin than these women. What about Kelly Rowland's skin tone and what color would be great on her ? We have got to get over this light skinned mess leaving out all the other skin tones.
