Ving Rhames Barks Over Misreported Death

Posted Apr 18th 2008 5:00PM by Jeff Douglas
Filed under: BlackSpin

Actor Ving Rhames tried to set the record straight this week and asked the press to apologize for reporting that his dogs killed a caretaker at his home last year. It was later discovered that Rhames' friend and caretaker, Jacob Adams, died of sickle cell anemia while the "Pulp Fiction" actor was away filming in Bulgaria.

"I'm sorry, really, that the press gave such a negative report of the situation that his family had to deal with. The reason was sickle cell anemia, he only had three (dog) bites on him," he told TMZ.com.

Rhames' dogs - three mastiffs and one bulldog - were originally taken away, but later returned to the actor. Watch the video to get his side of the story.

1. This was at the height of the times they were rounding up Micheal Vick and charging him with dog abuse.citing anyone as fair game. The media has it's can of worms

3. Has any one else noticed it or is it just me, the media is getting more and more outrageous when reporting incidents that they know will peak the interest of readers. So it doesn't matter if it's true or not, just as long as it sells. No matter whose reputation you ruin!

4. As always it all about the benjamins. Whatever sells is what will be printed or aired on tv! When I was in grammar school it was called yellow journalism. It was also insulting to real journalist. These days it's show me the money! A sure sign that the times haven't just changed but are deteriorating rapidly I might add.
