Ready to Work Again: Halle Berry Set To Do 'Frankie And Alice'

Posted Apr 18th 2008 5:05PM by Wilson Morales
Filed under: It's All Reel

Just when you thought she would be out of the acting field for some time due to the recent birth of her first child, Halle Berry is ready to start working again.

'Variety' is reporting that the Academy Award winner will star in and produce the psychological drama 'Frankie and Alice' for indie studio Access Motion Pictures in association with Reality Pictures in Motion.

Story follows a young woman struggling with multiple personality disorder and torn between who she is and a racist Caucasian alter-personality that preys upon her mind.

No production start date has been set.

'Frankie and Alice' is the second independent production for Toronto-based Access Motion Pictures, which recently completed "Phantom Punch," a Sonny Liston biopic starring Ving Rhames and directed by Robert Townsend.

1. "Congrats" to Halley and Boyfriend on their bundle of joy but, ISN'T TOO SOON TO GO BACK TO WORK? Halley, it's not like you don't have money? I would take ADVANTAGE and spend QUALITY MOTHERLY TIME, if that was my baby! HOLLYWOOD WOULD JUST HAVE TO WAIT! TAKE A BREAK!

Halle, Hollywood can wait! at 7:33PM on Apr 18th 2008

2. Kudos to Halle for bouncing back -- hope the film does great -- one question though -- why isn't Aubry marrying her? What's the problem? That doesn't seem like a good thing for the child -- how do you explain away immorality (parents just choosing to have a bastard child?) that's a strange move for the otherwise classy Berry -- hmmm.

3. Sounds like it will be a very intense movie!

4. Ok, after Jeremiah wright she comes up with this. I think that though I am not a black woman. And, Though I may not have strong feelings for blacks. I think this movie is dangerous and unrealistic. She is using black woman as a scapegoat for other sick reasons ans motives. Whose going to do a movie about all the hate out there coming from most people in the world that is not black women. Black women have no power in this world. She should not scapegoate black women in order to finally get a possible hit. She is not very talented and I have defended her in the past. But, I am going to be honest to say she is not much of an actress. She is a well paid model that can remeber her lines. Catwoman pained me to watch and everything she has done sense! I have given her way too much pity because she was of african american percentage and a woman. Knowing how hard it was for her considering her pigmentation. I realize after talking to a Frankie. Alice darn sure isnt the only that think she sucks. I use to think when white people told me she was horrible it was because she was of her background/pigmentation. Being honest she is talentless and stupid.

5. I am just as sick of her surgically enhanced nose, weave as I am with this movie. How tacky! Is this movie about herself! How soon does the black kettle forget that she was talking about jews. Whining like a pathetic psycho. And, her first big mouth concern wasnt about her hateful comments but that her career maybe over. LOL

Lola at 8:27PM on Apr 19th 2008

6. I guess this kind of behavior is to be expected from Halle Berry. I rather watch her boyfriend in the MAcy's commerical gloat. Than, see her try to make a fool of others. But, in the end, she is just making a fool of her stupid self. Her celebrity long ago went to her head. But, I notice since Halle has been dating this recent man she is even more of a gutter female dog!

No wonder why she has such bad luck with men. And, is supposed to be a celebrity. I think it maybe true that she has issues. And, one of them is that she needs to stay of the internet. For instance, supporting stupidity and being apart of it. It was not cute her jewish comments. Luckily, many white women came to her defense and people have this believed image of her being a nice person. I come to note lately her and oprah have let their status go to their pew brain heads. Rag magazines have the right to talk about her because she is becoming good at talking down or making poor light of people! That poor man is probably sick of her like the rest. But, she pays well. The baby will probably make him lift his head up in the coming months when out with her. And, the attention and money has got to help.

I don't have STRONG FEELINGS FOR A IGNORANT "RACIST" PERSON LIKE YOU! HOW DARE YOU SAY, THAT "BLACK WOMEN HAVE NO POWER IN THIS WORLD"? THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS POWER IS "GOD"! "BOO, BOO," YOU BETER CHECK YOUR IGNORANT RACIST SELF! I AM AFRO-AMERICAN, BEUATIFUL, INTELLIGENT, AND PROUD! YOU ARE SPEAKING OF "HATE", WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE IN THE WORLD LIKE YOUR KIND!
HALLE CAN PLAY ANY PART THAT SHE WANTS TO! SHE IS PAID AND DON'T GIVE A DAMN FOR PEOPLE LIKE "YOU" TO BRING HER DOWN! YOU REALLY HAVE YOUR NERVE TO BE ON "BV BLOGS"! NOBODY UP ON HERE IS FEELIN YOUR STUPID, IGNORANT RACIST REMARKDS! WANT YOU DO US ALL A FAVOR AND GO AWAY! IT SEEMS YOU ARE GOING DOWN THE WRONG PATH! I FEEL SORRY FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO THINK THEY CAN DEGRADE BLACK WOMEN. YOU HAVE NO CLASS!

8. i regrettalbly thought that the many white people who would tell me how much they loathe her or thought she overacted and was no good. I thought maybe it was because of her pigmentation or background. IT is simply because she is not a good actress. And, I learned this. When, I pay attention to her lack there of. She should not attempt to carry a movie by herself.

Karen at 5:27AM on Apr 20th 2008

9. No wonder why I have seen some of her co-stars over the years act like they cant stand her! When they have been out with her at movie engagements. She was jealous of one of her beautiful latina co-stars. She seems really petty and doggish. And, now, because she is 40 and with a boyfriend that can finally stand her. With obivous, good reason to do so. LOL She is showing her real self.

Lola at 5:29AM on Apr 20th 2008

10. If it hadnt been for black woman supportingher, black men buidling her up as a sex symbol. She would not have been where she is. To be able to get where she is.Luckily, it helped when a few people came to her defense and jews did not take her seriously because they figure her nice and black. Some blacks and some white woman came to her defense when people of all walks of life got her arrogant case. Because of having black kids or being black. lol She has ruined a movied I liked in the past due to be demanding to people on the set. Whining she does not get paid enough. Woman, when you yourself can tolerate your own damn movies. She whines too much. THen yeah, she uses her race as a convience. When she made the jew comments it helped her being considered nice. Even, though, that act is fleeing and she is starting to show her true self. No wonder why all her boyfriends and previous relationships were like they were. She seems to have serious issues. But she lets who she is goes to her big knot of a head. I cant stand her now. And, I hated ever defending her. She is what she is a bad actress. But, given the role of token black woman actress.

No ghettoness here what about u at 5:51AM on Apr 20th 2008

11. hope the film does great (unlike the rest of 'em)-- one question though -- why isn't Aubry marrying her? What's the problem? That doesn't seem like a good thing for the child -- how do you explain away immorality (parents just choosing to have a bastard child?) that's a strange move for the otherwise classy Berry -- hmmm. (Class...hmmm. I reckon to differ) She has been one of the more cleanier non vice celebs but I wouldnt say she is classy. She tells all her business and worries about everyone else's. I never found her mentality stable. LOL And, took pride in talking about why men didnt want her. LOL...Because u are a female dog!)

She is too busy in slew business. To worry about her own issues! Hearing the kettle pot whistle all the way from hallewood.

Because...... at 6:56AM on Apr 20th 2008

12. This movie sounds like a little inner hate from Halle. Ok. she is one of the tons of woman that love sugar daddies! LOL, and with her record w/men I am sure lol he is trying he best to tolerate her. She gives all of them a bad name. Not because she is talented but because she is so damn whining and pathetic. Their are so many better Latina, black and biracial black actress. Why doeas this hag. (though 40 is young) she makes it look old with those bad wigs from some studio closet. I am surprise that man does not run win he sees those pieces. PAris and Jessica should hook her up with their collection. Seriously. There are too many celebs with nice pieces and she certainly isnt one of them.

13. Halle, Halle, come on back home. On Oprah show you stated that you didn't need to get married because you and your boyfriend are spirtualy, married, stop rewriting the bible please.GOD smiles upon marriage. It's time for you to be happy,I glad for you,I am sure ever times you see your baby's face, your heart skips a beat.Sorry to say as a blackwoman, I don't think you should have won the oscar, for that movie, ever since then, you have be taking your clothes off in your movie, what has that done for you career, nothing..ON the Tavis Smiley show, I didn't like how you made fun of Tommy Davidson, remmember what goes comes around. I still like you Halle but you are changing and not for the better. Come on everybody let's Halle another chance, every body deserve a second chances. (my GOD) said he who is without sin cast the 1st stone

15. I am tired of this hag or shall i say bag of a dog kettle. Though she is 40 years young she carries herself like a hag. Why? Because she comes out wearing those dreadful darn wigs and weaves that most come from behind the dust of someone broom closet in some studio. Those are so rough looking dead horses. I mean maybe even paris hilton or jessica lol could hook her up with their collections. I mean celebs no matter if they are barely making or got the stash whip out better pieces! I mean she is a classic seasonsed actress. Not because of age but lack of talent. No wonder why i have heard two beautiful actresses. One latina and african american talk about her issues. No, and I am not talking about the men she's dated. lol

got to put in overtime to set me off at 1:47AM on Apr 21st 2008
