Terrell Owens: Tapped for New 'Flavor' Series

Looks like two of the most eligible black celebrity bachelors are joining forces.

NFL star Terrell Owens (T.O.) is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Flavor Flav's new TV series 'Under One Roof.'

The MyNetworkTV show, which is currently filming its inaugural season out in Vancouver , is slated to debut April 16 at 8:00 p.m."As the buzz continues to build around the premiere of 'Under One Roof' we are thrilled that football superstar T.O. will be teaming with Flavor Flav to help kick off the inaugural season of this hilarious new sitcom," said network's President, Greg Meidel.

Added the former Public Enemy hype-man turned Reality TV sensation, "It is an honor and a blessing to have Terrell 'Touchdown' Owens on my show ... I am excited and I can't wait to complete an episode with one of my most favorite players in history."

Owens, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, recently completed his 12th NFL season.

A six-time Pro Bowl player, Owens holds the Cowboy's single season record for receiving touchdowns and ranks third in most touchdown receptions in NFL history.

On the show, he plays a character named Sean, which marks an acting debut of sorts. (With his other TV and film appearances, he's played himself) A rep for the production said the storyline for the episode was a "surprise."

"I am really excited about the show and grateful for the opportunity," the 34-year-old Alexander City, Alabama native added. "I am looking forward to the experience and working with the cast."

1. Flav, you know that T. O. is going to boost the ratings of this show! All my attention will be on
T. O.'S "FINE SELF"! I bet after T.O. is gone, your ratings will be too!

2. Damn the show hasn't stated yet and you hating already

Other Brother at 1:41PM on Apr 9th 2008

3. Yeah Boy! This looks like a remake of The Fresh Prince. I'm not hating. Look at the parade of fine women that went through that show. A remake of a hit could be a hit. Flav needs a serious hook to hold down the show. Where is Billy D. Williams or Morris Day as the spiritual advisor to Flav? Blacks can't do a show without God in it. TO is a Football God, but that won't last. Think long term fellows and don't get trapped in a writer's box. I'm a big fan of you both.

10. As if reality TV wasn't already bad enough, now this? They should call this show "Two Giant Egos Under One Tiny Roof" instead. That's a way more appropriate title.

Melissa at 10:31PM on Apr 10th 2008

11. Terrell Owen on Flava of Love. He should go on the new reality show coming this summer with platinum selling artists Blaque. This show is supposed to be about the girls and their come back to the industry. Marlon Campbell is one of the executive producers in this show. Marlon is also a movie producer and Tyler Perry's cousin who was in Meet The Browns. The reality show is called Blaque House featuring T-boz, and other cameo appearances by Snopp Dogg, Timberland, Korrupt, Chris Tucker, Marlon Campbell.

12. Okay this story posted two days ago and only 10 comments? Maybe they cleared out some. Why so little interest in this? I wonder.

13. there is not enough money in the world to even want flavor flav,,,,but the show is funny

14. It is the downfall of this country that rich, white producers(I'm white, too)play on the lack of education of unsuccessful, fringe "performers" who are paid next to nothing to pretend they live in big, ugly, cheaply-made LA houses during the filming of "reality shows." It is the dumbing down of America to show illiterate, uneducated losers as "reality stars." "Flava" says he has 7 children and wants 3 more. I wonder how much child support he pays the loser mothers with the pittance he makes (more importantly, how much time does he spend with the 7 poor children he fathered with how many mothers)? America needs to stand up and say "no more" to the crap they are feeding our children and parents need to step in and say "change the channel."
