WHO KILLED DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING?

Posted Mar 5th 2008 2:20PM by Felicia Pride
Filed under: More Than Words

By Felicia Pride, TheBackList.net

According to EURweb.com, a new book by the brother of James Earl Ray, who was convicted of killing Dr. Martin Luther King, sets out to prove that Ray was not Dr. King's murderer.

TRUTH AT LAST: The Untold Story Behind James Earl Ray and the Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. by John Larry Ray (and coauthor Lyndon Barsten), the 75-year-old brother of James Earl Ray, claims that there's forensic evidence that proves his brother did not assassinate Dr. King. The book also includes conversations between the brothers where James thinks he was being set up.

"Martin Luther King Jr. was a man admired by millions, but my brother didn't kill him," John told the New York Daily News. "I believe my brother was not only misused by conspirators within our government but also greatly misconstrued as a 'racist' and a 'murderer' by the media."
James Early Ray confessed to shooting Dr. King, but then took back his confession three days later. He died in 1998.

What do you think about a possible "government conspiracy"?

1. There is a lot of evidence that came out just prior to Ray dying in 1998 that pointed to him not really being the shooter. Word was the CIA was behind it.

mike Hunt at 5:07PM on Mar 6th 2008

6. It probably was a conspiracy by the government just like Malcolm X but God is in control. For all the people who say "who cares" you should! because without people like Dr. King we couldn't have made it this far. So praise God for Dr. Kings legacy.

7. the hole thing was a government cover-up just like the
Kennedy assasination.

8. idid not believe then & i do not believe now that james earl ray was the killer. i have always believed that it was a conspiracy

9. Malcolm X's murder was NOT a conspriracy by the Government...in fact X was killed by his own people...pharakan...Government had NOTHING to do with it...if u wanted to compare this "Murder" to an Government Conspiracy then perhaps you should have used the Murder of Kennedy...now THAT was indeed and Governmental Conspiracy (which will be released in the year of 2032..i think i dont remeber the year exactly)

12. Excuse the this note to Mr. Kamirah as not to be a correction of pun but, as a note of correct history . Sir you are partially , correct at pointing your comment at THE Nation of Islam. However Mr. Farakhan had absolutly nothing to do with that era of that organization, as I am 49 Yrs young I do recall Mr. Wallace Mohammed. Get your mind right!!!!!!!! refrain from further comments without doing your reseach "a mind is TERRIBLE THING WASTE",especailly when it claims to be Black and intelligent.

13. Whoever wrote "who cares" about this piece is very
IGNORANT! We all care at least we should as a people and also as Americans. I truly believe some governmental agency was behind this and will always believe that and the truth will provail.

14. I will recall that Malcom X murders appeared to be the Nation of Islam but that to me was a set up to look as if they had something to do with it. For the killers who done a disservice to their selfs and others they killed the nation of Islam when they killed Malcom X! He turned his life around. I must say, They are a lot of older men and older women that are muslims and I show my respects because they are respectable people. They know what being muslim entails. A lot of the younger genereation tend to treat the muslim religion as if it's a gang. I don't like it. They tend to disrespect or treat others that are not of the same religion bad. It gives the good and faithful ones a bad name. for example, music use to be good, the lyrics and the dancing but now you have the N word and the B word in it. A lot of young females love to be addressed as a B. I don't get it. Someone calls me a B and I'm ready to knock someone head off!

15. The Nation did kill Malcolm for hear that he would lead followers of Elijah Muhammed to true Islam as taught by the prophet Mohammed. It would have been economic and social ruin for the Nation. Recent evidence does show that Martin was killed by someone other than Ray because modern forensics deteremined that the trajectory of the bullet shows an origin other than what we were originally told. We may never know the truth, but we don't have to buy the lies.
