Pharrell: Droppin' Jewels with the Blason LV Line

Let's face it, the age of the delebrity (that's designer celebrity) has no plans of ending anytime soon. So if one of them cares to offer something of great quality while cashing in on their fifteen minutes of fame then I say hey, might as well support them.

Pharrell at Louis Vuitton

Pharrell at Blason Producer/rapper/designer Pharrell Williams brought more hotness to the fashion industry by designing yet another accessory line for Louis Vuitton. Remember the sunglasses with Marc Jacobs he did for them in 2005? I personally saw plenty of fashionistos rocking a pair at fashion events then and recently Jay Z wore the latest style on the December '07 cover of XXL.

This time he dropped another bomb with a fine jewelry line called Blason for the fashion conglomerate.

Angel RingBecause he's no stranger to us or the fashion game, Louis Vuitton did it real big by launching in Paris with a regal themed party last week during Haute Couture Fashion Week. Peep the flicks, not a trucker cap, skateboard or gold rope chain in sight! I was so proud of him.

"I really got inspired by 'The Da Vinci Code' and the idea of freemasonry and secret societies in general," says Pharrell. "That was bascially the starting point, and the direct inspiration for the 'Blason' theme."

The line, which is primarily yellow and white gold with diamonds, comes in four themes inspired by several references including Art Deco, a piece with an ethnic vibe and items with LV initials for you logo whores.

Reverso RingQuietly, P is such a snob that taking on such a project was only befitting. I'm sure even the launch party at the mansion attended by French celebs and society made him feel quite at home.

As for the jewelry, simply breathtaking.

Blason will be available in select Louis Vuitton stores around the world later this spring priced from $2,000 to $600,000. So instead of buying a car or a house, support your favorite delebrity.

C'mon, don't player hate, participate.

2. Nice stuff, interesting his choice for inspiration. Some would say that freemasonary and secret societies have a lot to do with some of the unfortunate circumstances in our country today.

Yet attractive line none the less.

3. Hilarious!

Some would also say... that the freemasons are lizard men from outerspace....

I always find it interesting how people insert little infotoxins like this that have no relevance but create an unfounded bias in society. Anyway...

This new fashion line is just another marketing jolt to shock us and keep our attention. I hope he is happy with the money and that those who buy this flashy stuff to show how rich and "unique" they are are happy too. I suspect however that in a month or two they will be on to the next fad following their need to be important and fill the void with another bauble.

Silly and waste

Keep on consuming. Some day you may really be cool

5. Being a PHA Freemason for approximately 22 years I feel I can accomodate some with some knowledge of this time honored institution. Freemasons believe in charity, benovelence and the betterment of mankind for all. To insinuate that Freemasons are responsible for the things that are wrong with this country is ludicrous. Even though it seems that we are a secret society, all masonic knowledge can be obtained in libraries throughout the world, however the person reading such items would not know how to sucessfully put everything together without being tried, never denied and ready to be tried again. I appreciate the fact that the young brother has a vision in the fashion sense. I would advise him to talk to a Brother and see where it goes from there. Peace. One

6. Hell yeah why can't do it? This 2008, and we can do anything we want. I wish I had his money, and his talent I would be selling bling bling underwear. I just wish that we as American can just be happy for what people do, and stopping each other down. Can a black man live, and make some more money?
