SYNOPSIS:

Jada Lindsay is a single woman living and working as an ER nurse in her hometown of Philadelphia when she meets who she thinks is her Prince Charming one hot summer day. She quickly realizes that fairy tales are for kids. The story begins with Jada’s tumultuous relationship with Aidan Peacock, the son of a preacher. She tells her story of sex, lies and love in her own gripping words which are often flip and straight from the hip. Jada speaks of the love for her grandmother to the contempt that she harbors for her mother. When her relationship with Aidan is ended in front of the entire congregation of Shiloh Christian Church at a New Year’s Eve service, Jada vows to never see him again. But the heart goes where it wants to, and she finds out the hard way… ~You Reap What You Sow~

Please tell all your friends that LOVE a good book.

7. Very Ingenius of Mr/Ms. Goodwin to take advantage of what could only be viewed as a shameless plug for a book none of us would have heard of otherwise, Granted the subject of the article was still used, but only to give a vague referance to validate the authors use of the space, Now I have a book of poetry that......

9. Way to go Debbie Allen. Thanks for opening some eyes which may have closed because they have gone to sleep because of complacency. We as a Black race have been lulled into a false sleep of "things are good" syndrome. Look at what Tiger Woods had to say about someone saying that he should be lynched? How can a statement about you being lynched a "joke". Again, I say to Debbie Allen, thanks for the wake up.

Mssylady at 12:18PM on Jan 22nd 2008

10. I'm not sure of the purpose of the remark. Is it to let people know there are "negro" servants? I think we knew that. Is there a special reason she used the term "negro?" I guess I'm just out of the loop on this one.

mommie at 2:11PM on Jan 22nd 2008

11. Debbie was referring to the production soon to hit Broadway of "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof" with an all black cast that she's directing In the original production, the servants were black. (If you're not familiar, check out the movie starring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman). The servants in this production will also be black as well, keeping it in tune with the era in which the production is set.

She is so not the sister of a porn star. During the 70's she was a dance instructor for a made for TV series. Her sister is Phylicia Rashad who played Calire Huxtable on the Bill Cosby Show.
