WHEN THE TIME COMES EVERYBODY THAT VOTED FOR HIM WILL BE KICKIN THEMSELVES....

THE REPUBLICANS WANT OBAMA BECAUSE THATS A EASY VICTORY FOR THEM AND AGAIST HILLARY REPUBLICANS DON'T STAND A CHANCE AND THEY KNOW THAT......

AND MOSTLY ALL THE PEOPLE WITH THERE OWN LIL HOUR SEGMENTS IN THE MEDIA ARE REPUBLICANS SO THEY GONNA KEEP UP THE HYPE ON OBAMA BECAUSE THEY ARE IN ON THE REPUBLICANS GAME STRATEGY

3. Obama is one of the most brilliant and courageous person's to run for president. Most intelligent people do not even bother. Courageous because he knew going in that he would be hit by every kind of negativity possible, and probably more from his own people than any other ethnic group. He knew that people would say he is too something or other, or not enough something or other, and not accept the fact that he is just one individual with a vision and a mission. Anybody can declare themselves a candidate for president and run, but not everybody has the intelligence to be able to hook up the right combination of people, money, organization and all the other resources necessary to get very far. The fact that so many African Americans have so many reservations about him is incredible. Me personally when he announced I said "yes!" he has the complete package. I didn't need any celebrity to tell me that the struggle of Black people in America has been long and hard, and although the playing field may never be level it may be more level than it has been. If Obama stood around and waited for celebrity endorsements he might be waiting forever, and if he waited for all Black people to offer their support he might as well forget it.

The bad thing about celebrities is that most people know more about them than they know about themselves or their neighbors, or even their family members. So why should who a celebrity endorses matter? It may have value for entertainment sake to know whom the glitterati are endorsing. Probably the greatest value may be getting the attention for their candidate. If I were a candidate I would have famous celebrities agree to sign autographs at voting booths for everybody who show up and votes.

5. I would just like to say that a vote for Clinton is a vote for Bush. Do people not realize that this is just politics as usual. We took shackles off our ankles and wrist,so now it is time to unlock the shackles to our minds. We have the power to make history not his-story.Right now is the time to standup and standout and support Obama. In one days time, All the polls AP and the news stations projected Obama in double digits and then suddenly all these sources projected Clinton in New Hampshire before Obama's main precincts were counted. This is important because, all of the networks said for hours that the race was too close to call. The question becomes why would each network and the AP call Clinton before Obama's bases(college towns, Hanover and Durham) were counted especially when they were just four percentage points apart. If you paid close attention, the last precints to be counted were Obama's and that process took all night!
What does all this amount to? Well doesn't this sound familiar......in 2000 All polls, Networks and the BBC reported Gore in Florida....Camera switches to Bush in a hotel room and he exclaims that the vote was premature.....then all sources recanted and look at what we are dealing with now!......Therefore a vote for Clinton is a vote for Bush.....same politics same practices, same sources of funding, same fraternal organizations.....Clinton stands for promoting the status quo NOT doing away with it. Please do not fall for it. Support Obama! After all the Clintons for some reason believe that they have a stronghold in the Black community b/c some of us were too foolish to recognize his terms put us in a horrible economic situation, however because he smoked weed we endorsed him as black. They actually are so arrogant that Hillary almost cried because she knew Barack was gaining in New Hampshire, I truly believe that she believes he is taking HER Black support away! If we always do what we have always done , we will always get what we always got. Please do not chooses to not support obama because you do not believe the U.S. is ready for a Black president, because in doing so we choose to also believe that trying is not worth it.....Lets break the cycle! And one more thought, I do not appreciate BET airing 'Whats in it for us" on the night of the primary as if we have ever asked any other candidates what was in it for us. Oh and did i fail to mention BET is NOT Black owned, it is owned by a media giant VIACOM, yes, the same giant that owns, MTV and VH1, whose idea was this anyway? Wake Up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Support Obama
Tek and Torrence

tory at 1:21AM on Jan 9th 2008

6. Tory, you are sooo right! I am sick and tired of hearing black people say that Obama cannot win! The Clintons feel that we owe them our votes when they did nothing for black people when they were in the White House. Obama is the only canidate actually talking about the lower class. Everyone else seems more interested with the middle classes while the majority of Americans continue to suffer. Nothing will change for our community if we give Clinton our votes. Blacks need to stand up and be heard. Don't be fearful of change and possibility. It can happen! Obama in 08!!!!

Angela at 8:22AM on Jan 9th 2008

7. Folks. It is time to circle the wagons. From here on the Clintons will employ every imagineable dirty trick on BO. Mr Obama cannot keep absorbing these body blows from the Clinton camp spearheaded by the "honorary black" himself Bill. Black people owe the Clintons nothing. We were used to further their political ambitions. They are undoubtedly enraged that a black candidate stands between them and the White house. We have acandidate who has the goodwill of a vast majority of people. Let us not squander this opportunity.

Jan at 1:16PM on Jan 9th 2008

8. Wake up Black America! Either be a part of the change or a part of the problem!!! Vote Obama!!!

Andy at 1:21PM on Jan 9th 2008

9. I have to agree that it is a setup. I think that people are voting for Obama in the hopes that he will be easily defeated by the Republican candidate. However, I do not think this will automatically work and I certainly don't think it's a wake up call to vote for Hillary.

Michelle at 3:55PM on Jan 9th 2008

10. Obama is a great candidate. He works well with both democrats and republicans. Don't let the lies fool you. What have the Clintons done for black people? Obama is a great black educated man - get out and help him campaign.

San at 4:33PM on Jan 9th 2008

11. I think Hillary Clintons crying in New Hampshire was a farce. People like that don't cry. Have you ever seen her cry before? Bill Clinton should stop saying that Obama's platfrom is like a fairy tale. Hillary wasn't crying when Monica had "Old Bill" by his "Fairy Tale", or was that the other end?

John Flenoil at 7:29PM on Jan 9th 2008

12. Hillary didnt cry when Bill lied to the American people..Hillary didnt cry when Ken Star was after her...so do you think the tears are for real now?..Wake up America!..America is for all Americans..and no one has my vote because they are supposed to be "for the black people"...I want change..and I want Obama...All people of color(and those who are not) should support him..because he is for everyone...Its time for America to realize the higher calling that Thomas Jefferson said "all men and women are created equal"..vote for change..not another 4 years of republicans..or another 4 years of Bill...(through Hillary)..but real change..VOTE for Obama!

RStrand at 8:07PM on Jan 9th 2008

13. The Wonderful thing about this country is that we all have the freedom to decide who we want to vote for. And each of us makes a difference. If people decide to give up on Obama because they fear he's not going to be good enough to beat someone else in the end, all they're doing is helping his opponent win.
As far as the whole Hillary Clinton crying Crocodile tears thing goes. We all know that she pulled that one out of her bag of tricks, Ahem, I mean strategies. It was carefully timed and calculated. I'm just suprised that it helped her get the female vote. It just perpetuates the thinking of women as being overly emotional and expressing it at the wrong times.
If she's elected is she goint to cry in the middle of a meeting at the United Nations or in the middle of negotiations with some foreign country, because "It's co hard?"

M.R at 1:28AM on Jan 10th 2008

14. M.R You are so right. I don't want anyone leading me that cries at the drop of a hat.

resie at 7:15AM on Jan 10th 2008

15. ...gee, hillary, got the clue from edwards during the last debate...edwards was very emotional and even stated it was a personal thing...home boy's eyes were watering...i saw a "light bulb" appear above her head...no joke ,i really did!
