Farewell Everybody Hates Marcus

Posted Jan 6th 2008 10:02PM by Tariq Muhammad
Filed under: Everybody Hates Marcus

After 1.5 years of colorful commentary from Marcus Vanderberg Black Voices' television coverage has entered a new phase. Going forward "BV on TV" will be the new home of all of our small screen- related coverage. Expect us to continue providing our unique perspective on television and the people and shows that make us watch (and cringe).

Clearly, we we all miss Marcus' witty and often controversial take on the boob tube. Not everybody hates Marcus, and we certainly don't.

We wish him well in his pursuits and look forward to taking "BV on TV" to even higher heights.

5. Gee Marcus, I'm really gonna miss you. You always kept it real, and...wait a minute. This sounds like an obituary. LOL Good luck and best wishes on your new ventures, Marcus.

7. Not everybody hates Marcus. I had fun reading and responding to the topics selected. The place won't be the same because we need to think about serious topics and not think so much about ourselves. I hope I added something to the debate. I guess all I've got left is Topix and Mo Rocca. For a minute, I thought you were serious about the Tyra job. Was I too tough on Oprah? Hell no! We asked her to join us in the 2004 campaign and she didn't endorse Kerry-Edwards. When America finds out the truth about how this Obama movement got started, somebody is going to owe me an apology for all the beat downs I took. You never know who you are talking to on line. It was fun. Bye. Call on me anytime.

10. I never knew blogging was a job! (smile). Well, there goes another great web page favorite. All the best to you. They can't replace you but they can pay someone else to do what you did. You were great!

You know you should at least do a wrap up.
