Tyra Banks Wants to Adopt a Kid

Posted Jan 2nd 2008 11:24AM by Marcus Vanderberg
Filed under: Everybody Hates Marcus

How else to kickoff 2008 but with a post on Tyra Banks.

According to The Sun, Banks is planning on adopting a kid in the near future.
Orphanages, beware.

"I've wanted to adopt since I was nine," said Banks. "I have a connection with children and they don't have to come from my womb for me to have that connection."

What 9-year-old do you know who is seriously thinking about adopting when they grow up?

I'm calling BS on that one, Tyra.

1. She should adopt a white child and send the media into a tail spin! I mean, nobody has a problem when white celebs adopt Black kids so....

Get yourself a white kid Tyra! :)

2. Adopting is the fad for stars right now. A few years ago it was adopting dogs, now it's humans. With all the American kids in need of help we can only hope the child is American.

3. The new fad of the stars. First it's dogs now it's humans. I hope she atleast will go the AMERICAN ROUTE.

4. Tara, I feel it is blessing for a child(s) to be adopted by you and given a loving home. I wish you the very best in 2008 with adoption.

8. Why can't you people who post comments at least get the girl's name right? Now about the adoption: I wish her luck and I hope the experience humbles her because she is waaaaay too full of herself right now.

9. Marcus, lighten up on Tyra...I think she's a good person and she seems down to earth. She's got my vote that she will be a postive and influential role model for a kid. Besides Marcus, I think you really have a secret thing for Tyra, that's why you're always putting her on blast!

10. No Gypssi, not a white child, just a GAY Child because she knows more about the Science of GOD, than GOD.

11. What's up: Tyra:

13. Sometimes Marcus is so full cynicism that his humanity has no room to show. Truthfully I get where Tyra is coming from because I am one of those kids who said I will adopt a few kids when I get older. No I'm not adopted but I am the stepchild out of a family of 4 children.

I haven't been financially blessed to do that yet but I remember saying that I would adopt as early as about 9 myself. I wanted a family mixed with my own children and some children that I adopt. As it stands, my family seems to only make boys with the rare girl popping up so I want to adopt two girls.

14. Tyra, I wish God's blessing on your adopting a child. For every one else stop hating on a sistah! At least she's making a difference. What are you doing, besides putting an African American sistah down?
