Is An Oprah Expose Coming Soon?

Posted Nov 27th 2007 12:34AM by Marcus Vanderberg
Filed under: Everybody Hates Marcus

Things continue to spiral for Oprah Winfrey.

On top of everything that has happened to the talk show mogul, now comes a report in Page Six that a gentleman is threatening to publish a expose about her company, Harpo.

Keifer Bonvillain, 37, who touts himself as a Louisiana-born "civil-rights activist," has launched a Web site in a bid to get a publisher for his exposé, titled "Ruthless."

Bonvillain claims that he has audio tapes of a Harpo employee speaking freely about Oprah's private life and business affairs.

According to his pitch: "Keifer Bonvillain underestimated one of the world's most powerful women when he, armed with clandestinely recorded tapes, decided to write a 'tell-all' book unmasking the famed celebrity. Within days of Harpo learning about the book, two men were attempting to break into Keifer's home - presumably to get the tapes. Oprah was desperate to keep the truth from being revealed . . . The fallout was Keifer's highly publicized arrest."

This is not the first time Bonvillain has gone after Oprah.

Last year he was charged with federal extortion after he allegedly tried to sell Winfrey audiotapes for $1.5 million of a high-ranking Harpo employee bad-mouthing her. The charges didn't hold up in an Illinois court.

1. Keifer Bonvillain (Villain) Is Trying to Blackmail Oprah To Extort Money From Her. Bonvillain (Villain) Is Not A Civil Rights Activist. He's A Simple Con Man! Anyway, Oprah's Private Life Is Just That, "PRIVATE"!

2. 50 cent was right, she acts like a whire woman, that's all that's in her little playhouse, now she has to pay the price, and it's not over yet. The road you pave going up is a lot harder coming down, she needs to rremember who put her wher she is and stop fronting. Because white people wil turn on her like she's a rabid dog , if she keeps playin with them

3. This is what you get. Good for her I hope people keep slamming her. she had aparty at her housr and people were't even allowed inside It ain't over yet 50 cent was right .

4. Leave Oprah alone, everyone always tries to dish out the most loved celebritynews.... NEWS FLASH, she's a human too. We all have faults and clearly your work does to. Find someone else to stalk.

5. who cares what 50 cents said at least she was not selling death to other blacks like his sorry azz did

6. Who are we to judge another? No one is perfect. As always, we rejoice at another's misfortune. No wonder that we Black People are not getting anywhere. We have too much hate and envy in our hearts. If Oprah sat on her money and did nothing, she would be branded the MOST SELFISH B......that ever lived, but instead of taking a page from her book, she's vilified by her own. Let God be her judge; and let each and everyone of us do our part even it's in a very small way. Lets pray for each other....

Jackie at 5:02PM on Nov 27th 2007

7. Brothers and sisters. Dont be fooled by this fraud. She is taking the black people by the nose to the road of ruin. The fat hater is more white than whitey could be. She is an infadel and must be set straight. To the law of Mohammad. Black people are going to hell. Shame on you. I would trust a white man over you.

9. Oprah to be compared with half a dollar is tragic. She is a person who has made a major contribution in many ways, to encourage reading , to encourage self improvement, and has the respect of any right thinking
person. Unfortunately this subculture does not understand what it means to be black and to overcome the many hurdles put there by those of both races.

Adverbum at 6:05PM on Nov 27th 2007

10. Not necessarily an Oprah fan, but she has done a lot of good for many people. Can any of you who critize her say that- leave her alone!!

merrie at 8:23PM on Nov 27th 2007

11. I wish people would leave her alone. I'm sick of all the drama. Most of the people who bash her have NEVER done a minute of volunteer service in their lives, and yet they feel they can dog her because she hasn't personally done something for them. Any good that is done in this world benefits you, because you are a part of the human race. She should be allowed to have a private life, and live in peace just as everyone else should.

Lovely at 10:37PM on Nov 27th 2007

12. >Haha how can anyone take this story seriously except fans to comedian 50cents(!!??) please accept you are not Cro-Magnon beings or are you?
You probably especially 50cents fans would like to live a life of a celebrity and if you did (it's enough with one 50 cents) you would probably attract the attention from jealous and crazy people.

14. I have yet to figure out why it is that we feel the need to do this kind of thing to another one of our fellow African Americans. As soon as someone makes it big, some slimy snake comes slithering out from under a rock and wants to "Tell Everything". Rather you love or hate Oprah, she is a human being subject to making mis-steps the way we all are. As far as the comments made about black people being led by the nose to the road to ruin, you need to give black people a little more credit. I don't necessarily always "get" where Oprah is coming from and why she does the things that she does, however I know that Oprah has the right to live her life, and spend her money any she wants to, if she hates fat people - SO WHAT! does that fact make you just want to jump off the nexp bridge you see? If Oprahs opinion on things and people effects you that much, then someone needs to get a life - SERIOUSLY and what is the deal with the "acting white" crap. come on people get a grip.

cathy at 1:49AM on Nov 28th 2007

15. Dang Marcus your blog are usually really cool but why do you hate Oprah so much? What did she ever do to you did she kill your dog or something? This might be your third blog on something negative that has to do with Oprah wow just never thought you were a hater...
