Don't get excited by the title, or the idea.
Will Smith is not reprising his role in 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' sitcom.
The double Academy Award nominated actor is developing a sitcom based on 'Hitch,' the 2005 hit romantic comedy in which he played a professional "date doctor."
The former hip-hop superstar turned Hollywood royalty is attached as an executive producer of the small-screen version, but will not star, The Hollywood Reporter said.
The project is expected to be pitched to the networks shortly.
'Hitch' -- the TV series -- is set up at Smith's very production company, Overbrook Entertainment. Other shows reportedly in development include: 'Uncle Rudy,' a family comedy starring Big Boi of the hip-hop duo OutKast; 'Raw Materials,' a relationship comedy for ABC; 'Almost,' a supernatural drama for A&E; and 'Gimmee Twenty,' a special starring investment guru Mellody Hobson, at ABC News.
On the big screen, look for the Philadelphia native in Warner Bros. film 'I Am Legend.'
