Nioxin: The Hair & Scalp 'Fountain of Youth'

Posted Oct 11th 2007 10:30AM by Diane Da Costa
Filed under: Hair Apparent

NIOXIN: Is it the 'Fountain of Youth' for the hair and scalp?

Our hair and scalp changes with time and endures harsh environmental, mental, physical and self induced stress causing thinning. Nioxin, which contains the Vitamin H - Biotin, also found in children's vitamins, has created a product system, very similar to many of our skin care regimens. Nioxin, truly addresses the needs of hair care for women with thinning tresses for all hair textures. The Nioxin Intensive Therapy System, and Thinning Hair System comes in two formulas: natural and chemically treated hair. The shampoo, conditioners, finishing cremes and daily treatments, contain natural ingredients designed to deeply penetrate the scalp by cleansing, moisturizing and nourishing the hair. By utilizing advance research and natural ingredients, amazing results for combating thinning, shedding and hair loss has been found with regular use of Nioxin.

This is as close to that 'Fountain of Youth' for hair and scalp restoration, you can get, right now. One of the most beneficial products in the hair care system is the Follicle Booster, an at-home daily treatment and the Therapy Treatment, an at home and in-salon treatment. Consistent use of the Nioxin Intensive Therapy System will lead to amazing results in just 6 short weeks. Adding this treatment to your hair care regimen will create beneficial hair growth with long term and persistent use.

Has anyone experienced the amazing benefits of Nioxin. We would like to know?

2. Yes Nioxin is a good product for thinning hair, but if your hair is dry you need an additional moisturizer because it can leave your hair even drier than before. But in all, this is very good product it makes your hair thicker and longer.

3. Nioxin did make my hair grow longer than it had ever been. It is expensive too. The negative for me was once I stopped using it, I lost a lot of hair. Every time I shampooed it shedded out into the shampoo bowl. I would just recommended vitamins, lots of water, trimming ends, regular shampooing and conditioning and little heat for growing hair.

4. Nioxin has contains absolutely NO ingredients that are FDA-approved to treat hair loss (a medical condition). Using deceptive packaging and pseudo-science, the truth about NIOXIN was exposed on NBC's Today Show.

Safe and effective medical treatments are available. If you have thinning hair, receding hair or hair loss, visit a doctor who specializes in hair loss and hair restoration. There are about 100 board-certified hair restoration physicians in the world. The American Hair Loss Association is a good place to start.

5. I agree with sj. That's exactly how I grew my hair, vitamins, waters, and investing in good products like pantene, motions, and creme of nature!!!!

6. As a young white man in my late twenties, I have experienced a LOT of hair loss from the age of 23 onward. In a five year span I've tried Rogaine, vitamins by themselves, propecia, and other countless baldness aids in hopes of ending my hair loss and restoring my hair to its healthy state. About five weeks prior to this posting, I began using Nioxin System 3 in conjunction with a daily hair skin and nails multivitamin supplement. Today, 32 days into my regimen I am noticing better results than I have seen in many years with my hair growth. Portions of my scalp are longer with hair than they have been in years, and others have very thick patches of hair which resembles a very strong shaving stubble. Nioxin has truly been the best product I have tried.

To the poster who wrote that Nioxin is expensive...I agree that the name brand if Nioxin is indeed expensive. However, there is a brand that is made by Naturelle called Nutri-Ox that is significantly less expensive than Nioxin and offers the same quality results as Nioxin

7. It has been many years since I used Nioxin shampoo. I seem to remember it working, at least from the stand point that the hair looked thicker. If Dr. Alan Bauman were not a hair transplant doctor, I would take his point more seriously, but he is in the business of cutting on the head and moving hair, so he is biased and doesn't want to see products that might actually take customers away.

8. Ive been using nutri-ox for about a month now and looked in the mirror a couple of days ago and noticed i had huge balding spots in my hair. My hair is burning like a perm that has sat for a while and im scared all of my hair is gonna come out. I never have used any hair growth prducts of this magnitude. So i did not know what expect. However i did not think it would thin my hair to the point of me going bald. Im very upset and do not know what to do. i washed my hair thoroughly and still my scalp is burning. So no more hair growth formulas for me. Just wash and go, regular vitamins, and leave in conditioners. Even if my hair does not grow as long as it use to at least it will be healthy at the length it is and wont be concerned about whether my hair is gonna grow back from a terrible situation like this. I have to go to the doctors now. Thats how bad it is..... I Just Want To Pay My Respects To Bernie Mac and To Bernie Mac's Family and Friends. We LOVE YOU BERNIE.......Muah....Peace To You...........................................................................................MEREDITH
