2. BOOOO!!! Another movie about a black woman living her day-to-day life tryna find a man. I'm sick of these movies about black women not feeling complete unless they have a man in their lives. I hope my shawty doesn't see this posting cuz I know if she does, she's gonna wanna see this movie...and I ain't finn to watch this sh*t with her either.

5. it looks pretty good i hope it actually has a point and not completely filled with sex and men stating that if a woman is to strong in character that it's a turn off.if that's the case then i will be turned off.i would like to see a good movie with an ethnic cast that shows success,because we are successful alot of people of color are.even if we are tring to find ourselves in a movie (show us doing so with some pride and respect for ourselves)

6. To Fay: I feel ya on that note. I don't know how old you are, but I'm 33 and growing up, it was my moms alone who held the family down. Matter of fact, most of the families on the block were held down by strong, single black women. I don't remember hearing any of them (including my moms), complaining about feeling incomplete because there was no man in her life. When a man did come into my moms life, that was all good for her. But she didn't NEED a man in her life and she didn't live her day-to-day life trying find a man. And when that "good" man finally did find my moms (I said find her cuz she wasn't searching), he married her a year later and stayed married to her up until she died. It's funny how the story is always of the black woman looking for a "good" black man, it's never the other way around. Nowadays, it's hard for a "good" black man to find a good black women. There are brothers out there who are single fathers that are going to school and working hard to hold their families down and most black females wouldn't give them the time of day. And they (most black woman), wonder why they are still single. "Good" brothers are being over-looked by black women. Nowadays, it seems like if a black woman is not looking for a man, she's on Maury looking for her baby's daddy. For every black woman who asks "where are all the good black men?" there's a brother out there asking "where are all the good black women?" I guess I lucked-out though because I will soon be a married man come next month (beeming right now...lol). I think these movies only confirms the thoughts that most people all over the world have about black men---that we're no good. To all you "good" brothers out there looking for that good black women---keep ya head up. They're out there cuz I found one.

7. looks funny. and i know some women out there that need to see this. trust me sistas! sometimes all that stuff you're doing that you think is going to get you a man, is just scaring them away. LOVE YOURSELF FIRST! it's kinda hard to love someone that won't love themselves. learn who YOU are as a person, love that person, embrace that person. find joy in being alive. get a life of your own! and before you know it, love will follow! how do i know? i'm gettin married saturday. at 26. BOOYAH!

8. I've seen the movie and I think all of the people who posted on here before me will be pleasantly surprised. It's not filled with sex, and it doesn't bash the brothas. In fact it's the opposite. It's really a story of self-discovery for the main character and not your stereotypical male bashing or female bashing. It didn't win all those film festival awards for nothing. I'm a 32 year old black man and I think both men and women, regardless of race will enjoy the movie. Good date movie.
