2. First of all Jason Whitlock, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson are all off base. Black people neither own or control the music industry. There is no Black record company capable of being independent of the white company that owns it. BET is owned by Viacom which controls everything that appears it on. So when one says Imus was only following the rappers, Imus was really only repeating the sentiments of his bosses.

3. Mr. Whitlock, I am greatful to Mr. Sharpton and others like him who can be as articulate as they are. There are millions of people who think like Mr Sharpton but can't express themselves, just think if my only choice were someone like you. There will always be NEGROES like you Mr. Whitlock, tap dancing to negative Hip Hop music. Maybe Mr. Imus should have been a little more specific and mentioned yo mama?

4. They can always find some Negro willing to say what they want to hear, that token one at their parties and clubs and the one with the white woman on his arm, so, nothing new here.
They are so busy attacking Rev Al, who they seem to forget is human and has made mistakes, that they just want to find anyway they can to say that Mr Imus was wrong, typical white American response, blame the victim, especially any person of color who is disparaged and complains about it.

5. Don Imus was wrong. Black men have nothing to say about this issue. Black men are a bunch of hyprocrites. How many times have black women been called the b-word, c***, ho and every nasty name they can think of. How dare you get upset when a white man repeats what you have said on an everyday basis. I don't need Sharpton or Jackson to defend me as a Black woman. I know who I am and do not need a Black man to define it or a white man to desecrate it. Here was the problem I had with all of it. The news media and everyone who has ever listened to Don Imus knows how he talks. Howard Stern is worst than he is. The problem is the way Blacks portray each other. Russell Simmons married a woman who's father is Black but her mother is of Asian culture. Can he speak for a Black woman? NO. Any Black man who marries outside their race has lost their right to voice their opinions postive or negative about Black women. Nappy-headed hos is not new to our culture. It has a long history. Move on. Today I am celebrating Jackie Robinson Day. He was my hero. All that he endured and all that he gave, I honor him. To continually let this conversation go on without any real solution is fruitless. In order to clean house, we have to start in our own backyard. A white person can never step in your shoes. They cannot walk in your steps and can not understand where you have been. Let them deal with their fears and prejudices, we have give them control too long. Take back your power. If you don't like what a corporation is doing, stop buying their products. Money talks, bulls*** walks. Use the power of your wallet to affect a change.

8. Fat Jason doesn't know Jesse's history. To say that Jesse has done nothing in his role as a civil right leader is stupid. Jesse took the front after Martin was killed. The Southern Christian Leadership at that time were quiet as a church house mouse. They refused to go against the grain because they were in morning and scared. Jesse then took it upon his own to help start the Rainbow Coalition, he fought Mayor Daly's racist mob and I do mean Mob as in gangsters with the help of black gangsters known as Gangster Disciples or Folks. True story. He risked his life, practically reinvented the economic protest game that attacked racist businesses, companies, and corperations that made millions of dollars off blacks but would not hire them, cater to thier needs for products, wouldn't let them in some of their stores at certain times, the whole redneck nine. I agree that Jesse as of late has turned his back on the youth, not adapting to reeducate the youth, not making way for change in the hip-hop nation, as a matter of fact short of Farakann the youth have no true history to the civil rights times. Who's fault is that? The Civil rights leaders themselves, and Parents. They dropped the ball this time and want to blame rappers? Dumb and a lie. Hip hop is the new challenge now. It enpowers the poor, weak and even mindless to go out and get something, fight the system, encourges being black, reverses the stereotypes of the ghetto, and even has white kids, CNN, Webster's dictionary, changing thier own languge and teachings to keep up. Marcus is sellout, and Jason is a sellout. Can Jason even compare with Jesse's record? Is that a joke? Terrorist? Is that the best you can label a ex-civil right icon? He's so desperate on brown nosing whites that to get attention on racist Fox news you yell Terrorist? He needs to be fired along with Marcus from Black Voices because these guys have White vocals. As a matter of fact I even question you AOL for even having these sellout Uncle Tom, house negro skum writing these articles. These guys are traitors.

9. Imus got exactly what he deserved. The CEOs of the media control what is said on air,on television, and what is played on the radio. You people, black and white are stupid to blame "rap" for what Imus said, or to infer that it is in some way the fault of rappers. No rapper would make money if he was not threatening to kill the police et. al, abuse black woman oruse profane language. Which black station? There aren't any. Blacks don't control jack. I'm sick of all you people crying for Imus and his 10 million per year plus perks. All you news reporters are part of the problem. Jackson and Sharton are no more terrorist than some of those people in congress, and running the white house. Puhleeeze!!!!!

12. OK people the bottom line is some older gentlemen who was around way longer than rap called a group of young women nappy headed ho's. Oh and his accomplise should be fired too. Imus is not 12 he's way over 40; sorry cant blame that one on rap. He's way old enough to know the history and plight of black people. I can't believe you ignorant people don't get it. Ho is the bad word and nappy head is out of his cultural zone. When a group of people were once opressors, everything they say is under scrutiny. No one said a word when the black guy from Grays Anatomy said "FAG" and was immediatly fired. He said fag and his co worker was pissed off where was she at during this Imus situation. Hopefully hiding under a rock I don't watch the show anymore because of that. White people are upset and it really trips me out. Let someone like Supreme court justice Clarence Thomas, Obama or Montel call Hillary Clinton, Diane Sawyer or George Bush's mama a white stanky ho bi%$h on live tv or something of that nature I GAURANTEE there would be no hesitation, no poll or need of advertiser withdrawal. They would be FIRED on the spot. Now speak on that.

13. Taken from on of the boards at AOL:
WHITLOCK EXAMPLE OF BLACK ON BLACK CRIME
Jason Whitlock is an example of what is wrong with this generation of Black men. If you have ever heard that Black women feel abandoned and disrespected by their OWN MEN, Jason is a good example.
He states that he can accept nasty talk about Black women in comedy and in music. He can accept powerful media types lashing out at Black women college students, not as academics and atheletes, but as scum of the earth street walkers.
The problem isn't with Jackson and Sharpton at all. Both may have erred in a comment here or a battle there, but they have never been for stupidity and disrespect.
Both have always told young Blacks to excel and to get an education. To stay off of the streets and to be somebody. To remember the hard work of their ancestors and family members who gave so much so that they may participate in a free society.
Whitlock is only expressing what is WRONG in his OWN mind and private life.
And he is HAPPILY ignorant of it!
I'm glad I don't know him. It shows what can happen to Black women out with Black men. They are in danger and will not be protected. At least White men give the APPEARANCE of GALLANTRY and respect to their women and will come to their aid and rescue.
Whitlock can dismiss Jackson and Sharpton all he wants. But Sharpton, Jackson, King and X never did dismiss Black Women the way Whitlock and his generation have and will allow because they have always done so and are used to it.
He is a SORRY excuse of a man. Not King, X, Sharpton and Jackson.

14. Massah Whitlock;
Be truthful, you didn't want to offend your white bosses and your white wife when you wrote those lies about Jesse and Al did you? Keep kissing up because you are as low as a person can go with the rhetoric you wrote. The KKK has an opening for you!
