So there it is: Jamie Foxx is taking his show on the road.
A rep for the Academy Award winning funnyman confirmed this morning plans were unveiled for what Foxx anticipates to be one of the hottest tickets this winter.
The North American trek will see the Grammy Award nominated multi-platinum superstar entertaining audiences with a unique blend of music and stand-up comedy. The 19 city tour will kick off on Dec. 26 at the San Diego Civic Theater in San Diego, CA. (More dates below)
While Foxx, who stars in the big movie remake of 'Dreamgirls' (opening today in limited release), recently expressed interests in joining hip-hop veteran Snoop Dogg, and 'American Idol' winner Fantasia, only one of the two boldfaced named will be along for the ride.
Surely to put on one hell of a show (she really knows how to warm up a crowd), Fantasia --who released her self-titled sophomore opus-- will join Foxx on select dates.
Last year, around this time, Foxx's eagerly anticipated sophomore album 'Unpredictable' topped the 'Billboard' charts and sold more than one million units in 20 days. His NBC special 'Unpredictable' was a creative live performance of his album, featuring Foxx and an all-star line-up of such artists as Mary J. Blige, Common, Snoop Dogg, The Game, and Angie Stone.
