Two years ago,
Snoop Dogg filled in as a "daddy coach" for his sons' little league football team, the Rowland Raiders. He stuck around last season and acted as offensive and defensive coordinator as his sons' team went undefeated. The kids loved it, the parents loved it and apparently Snoop loved it too much. Last month, Snoop launched his own football league, the Snoop Youth Football League, and is supposedly "stealing" kids from other leagues.

Coach Snoop has taken on youth football complete with a wardrobe somewhere between Al and Sammy Davis.
According to a report in the L.A. Times, Snoop is rolling around in a pimped-out school bus, pumping "Drop it like its Hot" out huge speakers, and has a state-of-the-art entertainment system inside with TV screens and the like. What kid wouldn't want to be down with Snoop and his league? Not very many, as a rival league has dwindled from nine teams to two. Parents and coaches are accusing Snoop of sabotage and misinformation.
Folks from Snoop's camp say it's just jealousy and that their league gives more of an opportunity to families who don't have funds to be able to participate in the leagues. Snoop's league now has eight teams and is planning an expansion. And seemingly, an expansion draft.
Lebron in Court, the Legal KindLast week basketball phenom
Lebron James was in an Ohio courtroom answering charges he promised a businessman he would let him film a documentary on his life, and then dissed him.
Entertainment producer
Joseph Marsh was suing King James for $5.75 million, saying James broke a verbal contract and cost Marsh millions of profit from the documentary. The would-be non-fiction film would have focused on James' senior season at Akron's St. Vincent-St. Mary High School.
Although James admits to having discussed the possibility of a film being made on his life, he denies ever giving Marsh permission to proceed with the project. The jury agreed with James, and he chalked up a W, six votes to two.
"I'm just very excited. I always was confident in my word, because it's just the truth," James said after the verdict.
The other issue was the $100,000 Marsh lent to James and his family. James settled it out of court, paying back the money plus 10 percent interest.

Ricky Williams Turns Down OffersMiami Dolphins'
Ricky Williams is serious about football this season. How serious? After deciding to go into retirement last year so he could allegedly indulge in his favorite hallucigenic hobby, then upon sober reflection, realizing he would have to pay back the millions the Dolphins paid him, Williams is trying to win back his starting job and doesn't want any distractions.
According to the Miami Herald, he's fielded offers from Spike TV for a reality show about his life, but said no. ESPN The Magazine wanted to put him on the cover and have him pick a celeb to interview him, but again he said nah. Williams also rejected an offer for a cameo on a WB Network series about South Beach models. Some clothing lines and deodorants also came calling, but Ricky turned them down as fast as you could say "reefer madness."
Of the offers, he's accepted three: Nike, Oakley Apparel and Warren-Hebry Automobiles.
