Despite coaxing from wrestler Ron “The Truth” Killings, Pacman Jones could only appear in the ring, not wrestle, because of his NFL contract. Even though the Tennessee Titans took to the courts to get last minute injunctions against Adam “Pacman” Jones wrestling, including to “not touch or be touched, grapple, shove, throw or have anything thrown at him by anyone working for or watching the show.” But that didn’t stop Pacman from participating in the pay-per-view show on Sunday night.

According to USA Today, Pacman didn’t show until a few hours into the show and entered the ring for about ten minutes to give an impromptu interview with the announcer. It was interrupted when wrestler Ron “The Truth” Killings stepped into the arena and threatened Jones.

"Your contract won't allow you to touch or be touched. Ain't that a [expletive]," Killings yelled to Jones. "We don't have to worry about you whipping no one's [butt] around here. You better watch your back, Pacman."

"You talk a lot, know what I'm saying," Jones yelled back. "You talk a lot. But one thing about me, I don't talk the talk, I walk the walk."

Killings then tried to rush the ring, but was tackled by a group of “fake” police, while Jones himself was being held back by security.

"This ain't what you want anyway. You act like this is what you want but this ain't what you want," Jones yelled. He also said that he’d see Killings later backstage where security wouldn’t be able to keep them apart. Later on in the broadcast, Jones was shown leaving in a neck brace and on a stretcher after a “fight” with Killings not caught by cameras backstage. Pacman is scheduled to make more appearances on the TNA iMPACT wrestling show on Spike TV.

Hopefully he won’t get arrested for the bad acting.

Kevin Durant Gives Back to the Kids

Last weekend Seattle Supersonics rookie Kevin Durant chilled in his home state of Maryland and spent time with some of the local kids. He was the guest of honor at Community Kinship Coalition’s 15th Annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament held at the Annapolis Boys and Girls Club. The Community Kinship Coalition is a nonprofit organization that aims to empower youth to be productive and successful leaders.

“[CKC] is one of the best things I’ve ever been a part of,” Durant told Prince George’s Gazette. “I think it’s a great organization. They were there for me first when I played back in the day. Each year, the organization has gotten better and better and has grown. I think it will work wonders for the kids seeing us here considering we came from the same background they did.”

Milwaukee Bucks Charlie Bell and local Suitland High School graduate Cliff Dixon were also guests of honor at the event. The event also included the presentation of the Kevin Durant Student Athlete Award, which went to Laurel, Maryland resident Brandon Williams, 15, who will be a junior at High Roads School in Capitol Heights

Chad Johnson Looking for New TD Celebrations

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Johnson is known for his crazy, outlandish and fun touchdown celebrations. But it seems like he may need some ideas for the upcoming season. In partnership with Yahoo! Sports, Ocho Cinco is looking for the best touchdown celebrations.

Fans have until August 20 to submit a celebration no longer than 30 seconds, with no music, and no promoting of products. A panel of judges will choose the top five touchdown celebrations, throw it on the web and allow the fans to vote for their favorite. The grand prize winner will get flown out to Cincy, put up in a hotel, given $500 cash and have a chance to kick with Chad Johnson. If you think you got the skills, sign up and submit your video at http://sports.yahoo.com/chadjohnsoncontest.

Amare Stoudemire scores cover of NBA ‘08

Last year Kobe Bryant was instrumental in Sony’s promotion of the NBA ’07 video game, but this time the company is headed towards Phoenix. Sony announced that Phoenix Sun Amare Stoudemire will once again grace the cover of NBA ’08. He was on the cover for NBA ’06.

"Amare Stoudemire is one of the most dynamic players in the NBA, showcasing a range of power and finesse that makes him a favorite among the fans and a respected competitor among his peers," said Scott Rohde, director, sports product development at Sony Computer Entertainment of America. "We are elated that he has renewed his partnership with us and believe that with Amare back on our team, NBA '08 will once again raise the bar for the franchise."

NBA ’08 will only be available on Playstation 3, PSP and Playstation 2 in October.

Alonzo Mourning Says Charity Is a Responsibility

Miami Heat center Alonzo Mourning is well-known for his charitable work all over the place. His non-profit organization, Alonzo Mourning Charities, is a public fundraising foundation that provides support and services that enhance the lives of youth. Since its launched in 1997, AMC has raised more than $6 million for a variety of organizations. In a recent interview with the Miami Heat website, Mourning explained why it’s an important part of his life.

“I feel that each and every one of us as individuals has a responsibility to one another,” Mourning told the Heat Insider. “None of us would be here without the help of someone else – whether it be guardians, teachers, parents, relatives, etc. – someone contributed to your well being as a person. We're all connected in so many different ways. If we all make a concerted effort and try to improve the life of someone else, then this world would be a better place to live in. I've been blessed quite a bit and I know all the individuals who have blessed me throughout my success as a person as well as a basketball player. I feel an obligation to help others. I'm not sitting on success for my own personal and selfish reasons, but I'm here to help provide opportunities for others as well. To each and every one who lives on this earth you shouldn't waste your little bit of time here doing just for yourself. Somewhere along the way, try to create a legacy for someone else.”

Mourning also announced that once he retires, possibly after the 07-08 season, he will release his autography, ‘Resilience.’
