In the not-too-distant Tiger past, whenever Woods bombed a shot or tanked a tournament, the Tiger pundits quickly blamed the mishaps on the distraction of the golfer's marriage to Swedish model Elin Nordegren. But last weekend at the Sherwood Country Club Tiger said marriage has put a spring in his step and helped his golf game.

Marrying a Swedish nanny is always a good career move.
"I know that according to some of the press, marriage was the doom of my career," Woods said. "I don't think that has happened yet. It has been fantastic... It has actually helped my golf game, because there are days that I have come home and been angry and bummed out, and Elin turns it right around and puts a smile on my face."

Holly Robinson-Peete Talks to the LadiesActress
Holly Robinson-Peete has been married to former NFL player
Rodney Peete for 10 years now and she knows a thing or two about football. Her new book, 'Get Your Own Damn Beer, I'm Watching the Game,' is a women's guide to loving pro football. In the book she breaks down the basics about football plus has a list of the most of annoying things to say to a man while he's watching a game. Here's a couple:
"You've already watched three quarters. Why can't we spend the last one talking about us?"
"So does this mean the trash is going to take itself out?"
"Can you look at these fabric swatches? I'm thinking about buying new drapes."
In an interview with TV Guide, Peete-Robinson also mentions a couple of phrases a woman could use to impress her man during a game.
"If a receiver drops a ball that the quarterback threw, just say, 'He hit him right between the numbers with that ball!' and watch the look on your man's face," Robinson-Peete said. "If you really want to throw him off his feet, you gotta say something like, 'Hey, honey! You think the team will be going back to the 3-4 defense since the Patriots have had such success with it?' He'll look at you like you're a bit insane."

According to ESPN, it is also the highest a championship ring has ever been sold for. The highest before that was $35,000 for a Super Bowl XXIX ring given to a 1991 San Francisco 49ers starter.

Tiki & Ronde Get AnimatedIn the past couple of years, NFL twins
Tiki Barber (NY Giants) and
Ronde Barber (Tampa Bay Bucs) have worked together on two children's books: 'By My Brother's Side' (2004) and 'Gameday' (2005) published by Paula Wiseman Books/Simon & Schuster Books. Both books are stories and anecdotes from the brothers growing up as twins and playing sports. On Screen Entertainment has now optioned both books and stories from the Barbers for an animated series. The yet-to-be titled cartoon will focus on the brothers' experiences as 10-year old twins in Roanoke, Va. Both of them will be actively involved in coming up with storylines and characters for the show.
"Tiki and Ronde are thrilled to be developing their stories for television," said their business agent, Mark Lepselter said in a statement. "We have always chosen our partners very carefully and like Simon & Schuster, On Screen Entertainment reflects the quality reputation that meets our standards."
There's no word on when and where the animated series will appear.
