More than 100,000 football fans are expected to descend upon Miami this weekend for the

T.O.Mutombo Is Honored by the White HouseIf any of you were watching last week’s
State of the Union address, you may have noticed a 7-foot African brother sitting next to Bush’s wifey.
Dikembe Mutumbo was honored by Bush and the White House for his work in raising more than $29 million ($15 million of which he donated) to the construction of the
Biamba Marie Mutombo Hospital and Research Center in Kinshasa, the capital of the
Democratic Republic of the Congo. Named after his mother, the hospital is expected to open this summer.
During Bush’s speech, he said Mutumbo was an example of "heroic kindness, courage and self-sacrifice. When America serves others, we show the strength and generosity of our country.”
After the speech, Mutumbo was humbled and happy that his work is not going unnoticed.
"My heart was full of joy,” Mutumbo told the Houston Chronicle. “I didn't know the president was going to say such great remarks. He raised me so high. I'm so happy. I'm so proud to be a citizen of the United States of America and to be recognized for my work. God is good to have put this work in my heart."
Shaq Still Serious About Being PoliceLast weekend, after the
Miami Heat came home from a game in
Chicago,
Shaq was helping his bodyguard,
Jerome Crawford, unload some luggage outside of Crawford’s home when they witnessed a driver hit O’Neal’s Escalade and tried to flee the scene.
O’Neal, using his cop skills, chased the driver and called for backup. He followed the driver for about five minutes until he pulled over into a gas station. Shaq got out of his car and approached the driver, 18 year old
Emmnueo Cibrin, and summoned a nearby officer.
Shaq released a statement through the team saying he followed proper police protocol by following at a safe distance and speed limit. Sworn in as a reserve officer in 2005, Shaq has said he plans becoming Five-O when he retires from basketball.
King James Joins Microsoft, Gets Roasted LeBron James is now ballin’ with the big boys. Last week James signed a deal with Microsoft to help promote the newly released
Windows Vista. Commercials featuring James started running this week, making him the first NBA player to ever shill products for
Bill Gates and them.
"We're happy with him. And I know his people are happy with it, too," Microsoft spokesman Lou Gellos told the Associated Press. "We're talking about what future projects we might do with him."
No word on how much James is getting, but previously his total endorsements added up to be worth over $150 million.
In other King James news, he was “roasted” over the weekend by Cedric the Entertainer,
Mo’Nique ,
Paul Rodriguez
,
Ralphie May, Alex Thomas and others. The roast, where all the guests get to crack jokes about LeBron, was hosted by his foundation with a portion of the proceeds going towards the Boys Hope Girls Hope of Cleveland. Even though the
Cavs lost to the Suns earlier that night, people kept on laughing.
"I knew something was special about LeBron when they started televising his high school games. ... Who's the dude with the beard?” Thomas said. “They got one of the coaches playing? Somebody's dad is playing the game
